A peek at the new 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog

I just love this time of year when Stampin' Up! releases the new catalog! I really look forward to seeing it, it (almost) makes the retirement list tolerable. Here is my card for the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com) Fabulous Friday post this week--

This a new set called Pennant Parade. It comes with sayings that fit into the pennants and a coordinating punch--way cute! This card is a New catalog Trade with my group in Madison.

Check back next week for more fun stamping ideas!

Until then, happy stamping!

Summer Mini Catalog!

I love this time of year, Spring and the Summer Mini catalog are finally here! We are showcasing the Mini this week over at the Sisters (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/), here is my card--

Recently participated in a long distant Swap with my group and this was one of my cards. I used the BigShot to make the ovals from watercolor paper and then stamped with black Stazon ink. Colored the image with Classic ink pads. If you look really close you can see the background stamp I used called Pretty Pattern, it's hard to see because I used the same color ink as the paper...I didn't want it to distract you, but I still wanted a little something going on there. I call it "background noise." The ribbon was kinda tricky and took me waaaaaay longer than I thought it would. I placed sticky strip on the back side of the oval and then ruffled the Pear Pizzaz seam binding around the out side. Over the knot of the bow I used a mini glue dot, a Paper Daisy and a pearl jewel that I colored yellow (so that it looks like the flowers in the vase).

Hope you can join us next week, we are doing some scrapbooking!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:
