Snowy Thank-you

It's Wintery over at the Sisters in Stamping blog today-- that's the theme for today winter!
Here is my card--

I used the Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog called Let it Snow (pg.20, #150393). There are 2 sheets in the pack that are filled with cute snowmen, I used the largest circle punch to punch out one of those adorable snowmen and layered him on some Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana card stock. A bit of Real Red Curly Ribbon (pg.19, #150426) -- also in the Holiday Mini! The "thanks" comes from a new word set in the main Catalog called Here's A Card (pg.15, #149438). A few snowflakes in the background and done!

Last call for the Stanpin' Up! 2019 Holiday Mini Catalog! Don't forget January 2 is the last day to order from it.

Happy Stamping! Karla 😊

Season's Greetings!

Well hey! The Sisters in Stamping are working on gift card holders this week, here is
 my contribution --

They make great last minute Christmas gifts. A picture of it open--

So Many Stars stamp set (#150496, $26.00) from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon (#150446, $7.00) and the Detailed Trio Punch (#146320, $20.00) to round the corners and punch the hole that the ribbon slides through on the front. The thick white card stock works best for this gift card holder, cut to 4 1/2 x 7 and score at 6 1/4" and 3"

Go over to the Sisters blog and check out the other gift card holders!

Happy Stamping, Karla 😀

Winter Wonderland

Hello and welcome to my Fabulous Friday post! I made my Christmas card using Snow Front today for the Sisters in Stamping All About the Birds Challenge, here is a picture--

Have you noticed the set Snow Front (pg 45, #150483, $22.00) in the Holiday Mini? It's in the same artistic style as the set called Waterfront (#146386, $17.00). I used the Stamparatus (pg 184, #146276, $49.00) to position the mountains and the trees. Once I decided my layout it went together really fast and easy and I'll be able to make multiples.

Thank-you for stopping by, come back next week the Sisters are going to be Thankful!

Halloween Treat

The weeks are just flying by! Halloween is right around the corner and the Sisters in Stamping are showing off some quick treats. Here is my project for today--

I used the cute little coffin shaped paper treat boxes (pg 53, #150451, $7.00/12 boxes) in the Holiday Mini. The little tag comes from the set Tags, Tags, Tags (pg 56, #150508, $21.00) and comes with a matching set of dies to make it quick and easy to make lots of tags fast.

Come back next week for a fun moving card!
Until then, happy stamping!

Colorful Color Combo

Hello and welcome to another Fabulous Friday post from the Sisters in Stamping, this week we are focusing on a fun Color Challenge that I picked: Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana. Here is my card --

I used a stamp set called Colorful Seasons, I love it mostly because it is so versatile!! One thing though, I wish it had more wording with it. I colored the rhinestones with the Coastal Cabana Stampin Blends marker. I had a picture of my card in my head and it translated onto paper wonderfully (doesn't happen like that all the time) the picture really doesn't do it justice.

Thank-you for stopping by this week and make sure you come back to check out some Fall projects!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

10 Years of Ten(acious) Posts, Part Four

Sympathy cards are the theme this week for the Sisters in Stamping blog, here is my card for this week--

The vine is from the stamp set called Hold onto Hope (#151243, $21.00). I used the black ribbon in the Holiday Mini. I started selling cards at the Clinic Pharmacy I work at a couple of weeks ago. The picture below is one of the Sympathy cards they have in their card turnstile.

I tweaked this card by substituting a different set. What do you think? I think I like the above card (the original) card better!

Thank-you for coming by today!

10 Years of Ten(acious) Posts, Part Three

Well hey! Still celebrating over at the Sisters in Stamping blog with fun weekly prizes, scoot on over there and check out this week's blog candy! This week we are re-creating our most popular post from the last 10 years. Here is my card--

I tried to copy this post here. The petals on my card are made with the new Washi tape 2-pack from Stampin' Up! called Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape (#149585, $7.50). The flower petals are actually "peel and stick" washi.... way cool!! The saying is from Special Celebrations (#151396, $33.00). What do you think did I do it?

Next week is the last week of our Celebration, go make a comment on this week's post to be entered to win!

Thank-you for stopping by!

Welcome Holiday Mini!

You know Fall is right around the corner when the Holiday Mini shows up in your mailbox! As a Demonstrator I was able to purchase stamp sets and products ahead of time, one of best tings about being a Demonstrator I think 😍 Some really fun sets, Halloween, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas! Here is my card for this week's Sisters in Stamping post today--

This set is called Christmas Crowd, here it is closed. Super super cute!! I colored it with Stampin Blends. But this is the fun part when you open it up....

It pops up with a merry little hello! It's called a Modified Wiper Card, click here for instructions on how to make your own.

Well that's all I have for today, but make sure you come back next week the Sisters have a really really big announcement and you won't want to miss it!!
Until then, Happy Stampin' Karla 😀

Back to School

Hello! When I was younger I hated the saying "Back to School" -- now a days I'm loving that phrase because it means "get back to normal" and I'm all for that!!! School started here in South Dakota last Monday, they start earlier here because we generally have lots of snow days through the winter. That way they don't have to make up for lost days at the end of the school year. Here is my card for this week's Sisters in Stamping theme--

I used a new stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Mini, that will be released Sept 1st. It's called Harvest Hello's and it has a matching punch bundled with it.

Thank-you for coming by, see you next week for some more new Holiday Mini previews!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

Blooming Birthday

Welcome back! It's Debbie's turn over at the Sisters in Stamping and the theme she picked for this week is Flowers! Here is my card--

The card base is Coastal Cabana stamped with Bermuda Bay flowers. I used the Detailed Bands die (pg.192, #149549, $38.00) to cut the Bermuda Bay foil from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets (pg.167, #149495, $10.00) the paper pack also includes Blueberry Bushel and Old Olive foil, there are 6, 12x12 sheets in each pack, 2 of each color.

Here is a look at the inside of the card so you can see the whole image of the flower that comes in the set Band Together. It is bundled together with the above die set for a 10% discount (pg. 121, #151076, $54.75).

Go check out the Sisters blog to see what the other girls have done today with their flowers!

Seaside Sailing

The theme for the Sisters in Stamping post this week is Seaside, here is my card--

I used the set called Sailing Home (#149457, $24.00) to make this masculine card. I'm on a masculine card roll! I knew I wanted to use the baker's twine (Night of Navy/Sahara Sand #149483, $4.00) is new to the catalog and that's where I started with my color combo.

Here is a close up of the twine, I really like the way this turned out-- looks great!

Thank-you for coming by today, see you next week for some embossing paste ideas.

Summertime Thinking of You

We are up to some Fun Folding over at the Sisters in Stamping. Here is my card for today--

This is the way it looks when you send it, folded flat.

Here it is opened up, it's called a free standing pop-up card, here is a link to the tutorial. I used a new stamp set to the 2019-20 Idea Book & Catalog called Seaside Notions (pg 139, #149278). Bokeh Dots is stamped behind the seahorse in Soft Sea Foam. Looks like Summer at the beach to me!

Come back next week for some more great stamping ideas!

Tah-da!! The New 2019-21 InColors

Well hello, and welcome! The Sisters in Stamping are showing off the new 2019-21 InColors, here is my card for this week--

I was thinking about showing you another card but, then I had this really great idea....see how the cake in this set (which by the way is called Time for Tags, #149423) has 5 layers? I used one of the new InColors in each layer of my cake, clever huh?? Here is a close up of the cake--

So from the top cake layer: Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose, Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray. I repeated the Purple Posy (color of the plate) and Seaside Spray (outlined cake) with the base of the card and the banner. The ribbon is new to the catalog also, Whisper White Flax Ribbon.
Oh, I almost forgot to let you know that the stamp set Time for Tags is a Hostess set and coordinates with the Timeless Label Punch (#149516, $18.00).

Well that's all I've got folks! Make sure that you go look at the other cards, they are fantastic!

Favorite Suite from New IB&C

My pick for this week's Fabulous Friday post is called Bird Ballad Suite,
here is my card--

It is so lovely in person... pictures just don't do it justice! I used the framelits Stitched Nested Labels (#149638, $36.00) that coordinate with the Suite to cut out the sentiment and, to cut a mask to sponge the background shape in Pool Party behind the birds.

Go over to the Sisters in Stamping blog and take a look at the other projects!

Little Box of Love

For a second week the focus is retiring sets and product from the 2018-19 Idea Book & Catalog. Here is my project for today's Sisters in Stamping post--

I used the retiring stamp set Inspired Events (pg. 88, #143693, $26.00). I was really disappointed to see this set on the list last month-- you see I had just purchased it!! 😒

The Gable Boxes are retiring (pg. 193, #145568, $8.00/12 boxes), also the Rich Razzelberry Velvet Ribbon (pg. 201, #147016, $8.00/10yds.).

Last day to order these products is June 3, 2019!

This little box of love would be perfect for a Graduate or Bride!

Ready for Spring!

Oh my, can you believe we are already into May! Although it has been a little chilly here in South Dakota and it hasn't felt like Spring has arrived. The Sisters are showing off some cute Spring cards tho this week, here is my donation--

I used the soon to be retired Hostess set called Springtime Stroll. Love that little bird wearing the boots-- way too cute! The background set, Burlap and the ribbon are also leaving-- too bad really like that burlap look. 😢

Thank-you for coming by today! Here's hoping that we get some warmer weather and that it doesn't go right to Summer eh?

Happy Stamping, Karla 😉

Trying a New Technique

Welcome back to this week's Fabulous Friday post. The Sisters in Stamping are trying a new technique this week is called Masking Tape printing (here is a tutorial for the technique). I've also incorporated some retiring Stampin' Up! products--

I used quite a few retiring products, first the stamp set-- it's called Lemon Zest and it has a matching punch Lemon Builder #143712. The color is called Lemon Lime Twist and it is one 2017-2019 InColor that is also retiring, along with the black Mini Sequin trim #144259. The technique calls for painter's tape but I used some of the retiring Washi Tape instead, it worked well as a replacement.

Here is the inside of my card, I used the other 1/2 of my lime wedge.

Well, that's it for me, make sure to take a look at what the other Sisters are doing!
Happy Stamping! Karla 😉

Easy Easter Treat

Hello and welcome to this week's Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday post, we are focusing on Easter this week. Here is my project--

I made a template to trace the ears onto a brown paper lunch sack, filled it with Easter candy. Stamped the small rabbit from Best Bunny to make my tag and colored it with Stampin' Blend markers. Best Bunny is one of the newer sets in the 2018-19 Idea Book & Catalog that has it's own matching punch.

Here is a close-up of the tag, you can see that I used the Light Sea Foam Blend marker to rim the rabbit, to trick the eye to thinking that the rabbit is whiter.

Make sure you check out the other Sisters projects for today, they are pretty darn cute!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊
