Perfect Punches

Hello! Welcome to a Sunday Fun Day with the Sisters in Stamping

I used the Flowers of Friendship Bundle. I don't know if you know this but, not all of the bundles that are in the Idea Book & Catalog are dies and stamp set-- some are coordinating punches and stamp sets. I used the matching punch to punch out my flower on the right and also the leaves in the bunch of flowers I stamped on the left.

Thank-you for visiting today! Karla 💝

WOW! I'm having a hard time believing that it has been 10 Years since I started this blog...but, there it is on the calendar. Time goes so fast! This week we are recreating a past post with a current stamp set. Here is my card--

I went back into the history of my blog and found this post in May 2013 and I've remade it with Butterfly Gala and best of all the set has a matching punch. I used Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie.

The Sisters in Stamping are celebrating all month with fun posts and gifts, but you have to comment on the Sisters blog to qualify to win!

Thank-you for stopping by today!
See you next week- Karla 😊

Back to School

Hello! When I was younger I hated the saying "Back to School" -- now a days I'm loving that phrase because it means "get back to normal" and I'm all for that!!! School started here in South Dakota last Monday, they start earlier here because we generally have lots of snow days through the winter. That way they don't have to make up for lost days at the end of the school year. Here is my card for this week's Sisters in Stamping theme--

I used a new stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Mini, that will be released Sept 1st. It's called Harvest Hello's and it has a matching punch bundled with it.

Thank-you for coming by, see you next week for some more new Holiday Mini previews!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

Tah-da!! The New 2019-21 InColors

Well hello, and welcome! The Sisters in Stamping are showing off the new 2019-21 InColors, here is my card for this week--

I was thinking about showing you another card but, then I had this really great idea....see how the cake in this set (which by the way is called Time for Tags, #149423) has 5 layers? I used one of the new InColors in each layer of my cake, clever huh?? Here is a close up of the cake--

So from the top cake layer: Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose, Purple Posy, Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray. I repeated the Purple Posy (color of the plate) and Seaside Spray (outlined cake) with the base of the card and the banner. The ribbon is new to the catalog also, Whisper White Flax Ribbon.
Oh, I almost forgot to let you know that the stamp set Time for Tags is a Hostess set and coordinates with the Timeless Label Punch (#149516, $18.00).

Well that's all I've got folks! Make sure that you go look at the other cards, they are fantastic!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

BigShot Friday

On the Sisters in Stamping blog this week we are sharing Christmas cards that use the BigShot. Here is my card for this week--

I used the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder for my background design and the Top Note die made my Elf Shoes. Actually the Top Note makes 2 pairs of shoes, nice if you are making multiples. The socks are Designer Series Paper from the Winter Frost Paper Stack, and I had to add a little "bling" -- the pom-poms are Silver Glimmer Paper and the laces are Silver 1/8" Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Way too cute!

Have a great day and make sure you come back next week the Sisters will have some small gift ideas for you. Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Our Favs from the NEW Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog

Our challenge this for this week's Fabulous Friday post over at the Sisters blog was to use our Favorite products from the NEW 2013 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

Don'tcha love when a plan comes together?? I've had this idea rattling around in my head for awhile now--it felt so good to get it out and then to have it look so nice! I used the new set called Tags 4 You and the coordinating punch, the new Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack called Season of Style, and the new Chevron Border Punch (which I'm just lovin'!).

Make sure you swing by next week for Manly Cards!

Until then-- Happy Stampin'

Fabulous New Stamping Stuff

The Sisters in Stamping blog is showcasing some new products from the 2013-14 Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my project for this week--

I pre-ordered the Label Bracket punch and stamp set Tags for You (pg.37), they are bundled together in the catalog for a 15% savings, gotta love that! I used one of the new InColors called Crisp Cantaloupe to make the box and the tag, and the black paper ribbon was made using the new Chevron Border Punch (pg.23, #132154). My little box is filled with black jelly beans-- YUMMY!

Thank-you for coming by!
Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

PS. Make sure you go over to the Sisters blog to see what the others have done with their new goodies.

A Fabulous Peek

The NEW Stampin' Up! 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog is being released today, and we have been waiting on pins and needles to put our orders in! But lucky for you Stampin Up! has given the Demonstrators some advanced time to pre-order some new stuff and the Sisters in Stamping  have been playing with paper so they could show you. Here is my card for today--

I used a new stamp set called Mosaic Madness, it has a coordinating punch. The colors are So Saffron, Basic Gray and a NEW InColor called Strawberry Slush. The side stripes were done using a new accessory Epic Day This and That Washi Tape.

The Happy Birthday Wishes stamp is from a Hostess set called Simply Sketched and was stamped in Basic Gray ink. I used some rhinestones to glam it up some.

Thank-you for coming by. Go by the Sisters blog to check out what the others have made for you.

Happy Stamping,
Karla c(:

Mother's Day Inspiration at Sisters

Hey, thanks for coming by today to take a look at the Fabulous Friday post! It's my turn at the Sisters in Stamping blog and I have picked Mother's Day cards as our focus for this week. Here is my card--

Inside it says Happy Mother's Day! But, any Spring occasion would fit. I spied this card last week from Candace and I was inspired. I used my Print Poetry pack of Designer Series Paper (again!) for the back drop and my new Paper-Piercing Pack Occasions (#127387, $7.95). It's hard to see but there is a flower shaped button and a rhinestone in the middle of the punched butterfly.

Thank-you for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

Easter Cards for this Week!

It's Rachel's week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and she has picked Easter Cards as our focus for this week's Fabulous Friday post. Here is my card--

I just love this set! It's called Everybunny and I was SO happy to see it in this year's Idea Book & Catalog (pg.25). I used Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand cardstock to punch my Scallop Squares ( IB&C pg.183, #119884, $16.95). Using the same color ink pads I watercolored my adorable little bunny with blender pens (IB&C pg.178, #102845, $9.95).

Make sure you stop by the Sisters blog to see what the others have for Easter!

Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Christmas cards in July??

This is our last week of the 2012-13 Idea Book & Catalog over at the Sisters in Stamping. I used one of the new Christmas stamp sets called Chock-Full of Cheer. Here is my card--

I used Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green, pulling the colors from the Designer Series Paper that I picked, Be of Good Cheer. The candy cane was stamped off and then Merry Christmas layered over the top with Cherry Cobbler. I paper pieced the mitten, stamping it 2 times and then cutting pieces of it to make it 2 toned. There is Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the candy cane and the stars on the mitten. I'm participating in the Freshly Made Sketches (FMS44) again this week.

Stop on by at the Sisters in Stamping blog to see the other cards posted for this week.

Stay cool my Friend. Happy Stamping!

NEW 2012-13 Idea Book & Catalog Tour: Week One

Over at the Sisters in Stamping blog we are in Week One of the New Catalog Tour. We are starting in the back of the catalog this week and we will be working our way towards the front. Week One is the accessory section, here is my card for today's post--

I used 5 punches...can you spot them all??? Leave a comment with the names of all of the punches I used and you can win a free punch (if I get more than one correct response I will conduct a drawing). This cute little stamp set, Happy You is one of the new Hostess sets and is just my style. I used one of the new InColors Gumball Green. Island Indigo (InColor 2011-13) is the base of the card and the color of the galosh, I also used Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron. It is so bright and cheery!

Thanks for coming by today, and don't forget to comment!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Designer Series Paper Love

Good Day! Welcome back to another Fabulous Friday-- this week we are highlighting Designer Series Paper, or as we all call it DSP. I used the DSP that is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, it's called Everyday Enchantment. Here is a picture of my scrapbook page--

It turned out very bright and cheery. I really like this DSP because it's not all "girly" there are some nice gender neutral patterns and some flowers too. All the sheets are 2-sided, so you are getting a lot of bang for your buck when you purchase DSP from Stampin' Up!
I didn't want it too girly because I have some really cute pictures of Ted when he was little in the garden smelling flowers that I'd like to put on this page. Yes, I know-- a scrapbook page is unusual for me! I'm trying to kill 2 birds with one stone...I'll be teaching a new class next week called Mother Daughter Madness and this will be one of the projects everyone will be making. If you live in the area and you'd like to attend send me an e-mail and I'll get you the details on the class.

Thank-you for coming by today!

Punches for Fabulous Friday

It's my week for the Sisters in Stamping blog post and I picked Stampin' Up! fabulous punches to showcase this week. There are so many sizes and shapes that quite a few Stampin' Up! Demonstrators have created a whole paper crafting phenomena called Punch Art. Here is my card for this week--

The background was made using the Baby Wipe Technique. I used 4 punches to create my cute little penguin, here is the key that I made:

Well, that's it for this week. Remember Sale-A-Bration ends March 31. Punches are a great thing to add to your craft supplies and this is a perfect time to do that, you'll get a FREE item when you spend $50.
Thank-you for stopping by today!

Happy March, Karla c(:
