Happy Heart Day!

Valentine's Day.... it's my most favorite holiday! The Sisters in Stamping have decided to show little Valentine treats today. Here is my project--

It is pretty simple and straight forward. The Flamingo card stock is cut to 3 3/4 x 10 and scored at 6 1/2" and 3".
Used my Stamparatus to place the stamp on the front, worked great to get it smack dab in the middle of the heart I made with the Meant to Be framelits.

Come back next week for some monochromatic cards!
Happy stamping, Karla 😉

Hearts and Kisses

I used a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, it's called Sealed With Love (#142815, $21.00). The set comes with 3 hearts of the same size that I mounted on the same block so I could stamp them at the same time.

Happy Valentines Day!

A Little Valentine

Sisters in Stamping are posting 3D Valentine's Day gifts. Here is my project--

I used the Popcorn Box thinlits (#141473, $33.00) before I put it together I punched it 4 times across the top with the Confetti Hearts Border punch (#137415, $22.00). To create the tag I used a new set from the Occasions Mini called Just Keep Swimming (#143010, $16.00). Inside is one of those rings where the jewel is candy and an eraser shaped like a ring. I took inspiration from Julie Davison's box, here is a link so you can go check it out.

Thank-you for stopping by today, happy Friday!

I {heart} You

Hey there, Happy Valentines Day! The Sisters in Stamping are making Valentines, here is mine--

I found this project and this project and sorta smooshed the two of them together for my Valentine Project today.
Here is a picture of the back.
The Real Red card stock is 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded in half. Place the die about a 1/4 inch above the fold and run through the BigShot. Purchased the Googly Eyes at the big box store, they are 15mm.
You'll need to cut off that small tab on the side. Fold on the lines that the die makes. Stamp it up, a bit of ribbon-- tuck in some Conversation Hearts and there you go. Way cute and simple to boot.

Go on over to the Sisters blog to see the other creations!

Happy Heart Day!

Well, hey there and welcome! The Sisters are showin' off some Valentine card this week, here is my card--

I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Banner Blast and the coordinating Banner punch to make this fun little Valentine. The little itty bitty heart is from the Owl Builder (#118074, $16.95), I used Red Glimmer paper (#121790, $4.95)-- it's exactly what this card needed, a little sparkle!

Hope you are having a great Valentine's Day! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Bee Mine!

Well hey, welcome today to my blog! The Sisters in Stamping are making candy projects today. Here is my project for today--

I used the fun Designer Series Paper stack called Fresh Prints. I cut 2" off of the piece to make it 4 1/2x 4 1/2 inches squares. Once it was folded it was the perfect size for a wrapped candy!

The little bee came from the set called Crazy, Mixed-up Love. It's one of the new sets in the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog. I put some Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the bee's wings just to dress him up some.

Thank-you for coming by today! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

PS. Go check out what the other Sisters have done.

Valentine Candy

It's February 1st and Valentine's Day will be here before you know it! The Sisters in Stamping blog is showing off some fun candy ideas this week. Here is my project--

I used the 1x8 cello bags, the Heart Framelits and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit. Super quick easy and super cute! I was inspired by Stampin' Up! founder Shelli Gardner, you can see her post here. The trick is to leave a space in the candy (I put 11 hearts in instead of 12) so you can tie the ribbon around the cello bag.

Thank-you (once again!) for coming by today and checking out what's going on. Next week it's my turn and we are going to be showcasing the new Simply Score Borders Plate in the 2013 Spring Mini Catalog.

Until then, happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Cherry Scented Fabulous

Well Happy Fabulous Friday to you! At the Sisters in Stamping blog Rachel picked the new Sweet Suite to focus on this week, here is my card--

I used the new Cherry Scented Embossing powder (Occasions Mini Catalog, pg. 35) on the heart. I inked the heart up in Versamark ink and dredged it in the scented embossing powder, heated it with my heat gun--be careful not to over heat it, it's very delicate! After it cooled I took a sponge filled with Cherry Cobbler ink and rubbed it into the image, everything that was embossed stayed a nice pink color. Love it! My whole basement smelled of cherries for days, yum.

See you next week! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

I {heart} Valentine's Day!

Hello! We are posting Valentine's Day Cards this week at the Sisters in Stamping blog. Here is my card for this week--

When we were at Leadership in January SU! taught us a very cool technique to help cut images with the NEW Framelits. Stamp the image you want to cut out, put it down on the cutting pad face up. Place the Framelit over the image (cutting edge down), put a post-it note down over the image to hold the Framelit in place while it goes through the BigShot. There you have it- a nice even border around your stamped image --sweet!

Thank-you for coming by this week, see you next Friday for more goodies!

Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Just what the Dr. Ordered...

...the prescription says "have a Happy Valentine's Day!"

The Sisters in Stamping (http://Sistersinstamping.blogspot.com) are making Valentine candy favors this week for Fabulous Friday. I purchased empty pill bottles a couple of years ago and this idea came to me when I bought Conversation Hearts at the store yesterday. I used the new heart Framelits (pg.6) and the stamp set from the Occasions Mini Take it to Heart (pg.14) they coordinate beautifully together! I hope you like it! Leave me a Comment if you'd like to buy some pill bottles of your own.

Thanks for cruising by today...make sure you go to the Sisters blog to see what the others have done.

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Framelit Friday!

Good day and welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday post! The Sisters (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) are focusing on the NEW Framelits that are in the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

It's all closed up in the picture above. Here is a picture of it opened to the first message--

And, below it's all the way open--

I have had this idea in my head for a long time, and just needed to take the time to sit down and put it together. Sometimes when they are in your head they look really great when they get out...sometimes not so much! I was lucky this time I think it turned out really cute. It's a moving card called a Telescoping Card. I have seen them made with circles on other sites but never with hearts.

Thank-you for stopping by again today, Happy Friday!

Happy Valentines Day!!

At my house Valentines Day is a REALLY big deal. You see I'm crazy for hearts!!! I sent my husband to work today with a bag of Valentines.

I made some calendars for the folks he works with, here is a picture of what they looked like--

I used the scalloped oval, cut in 1/2 to make his wings. I hope everyone liked them, I think they turned out cute.

Happy Stamping,

Valentine Friday

Anybody who knows me knows that I have a soft spot in my {heart} for all things Valentiney! Thats why my project this week for the Sisters (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) was so much fun to do....here is a picture of the outside of the card--

This is what it looks like opened up--

I LOVE that new glitter paper!!! I'm hoping that the next SU! catalog (July 2011) will have LOADS of that glitter paper in it-- in lots of pretty colors!

All of the Sisters are heading off to SU! Leadership Conference in Nashville this week, check back, because even though we are going to be having tons of fun we still have a posting prepped for next Friday.

Until then,

A little Something Sweet

It's Friday again and here is my post for this week's challenge! http://SistersInStamping.blogspot.com
I used Something Sweet , here is the front of my card--

This is a picture of the inside--

This card is waaaaaay more difficult than last week's Valentine Conversation Heart box!! I made some grass with card stock using the faux suede technique, and used the Jig to make sure everything lined up inside with the Magnifying Glass on the front. When I finished it looked like I had every crafty thing I owned out on my desk. Here are all of the things I needed to make this card... SU! Supplies--

Stamp Sets: Something Sweet (pg.20, Occasions Mini Catalog), Inspired by Nature (pg.96, 2009-10 IB&C), Bugs & Kisses (pg.88, 2009-10 IB&C). Accessories: Stamp-Jig, medium window sheets, Stampin' Write Journaler, paper cutter, paper snips, old olive striped grosgrain ribbon, mini glue dots, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, melon mambo marker. Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive. Ink: Old Olive, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip.

Hope you have a great week-end! It's pretty cold here in Madison (-2 when I took m son to school this morning)--we will be just tryin' to stay warm. Until next time,

Karla c(:
