Sneekly Peeking

This week at the Sisters (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) we are giving everybody a little sneak peek at the Summer Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

I used a stamp set called Flower Fest, as soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it! The technique I used is a twist on Stamping Off. Instead of moving the stamp away from the original image I stayed in the same spot and over stamp it 6-8 times. The rubber carries a lot more ink than you think...and it makes it look colored and the edges get blurry. I recently participated in a Trade and this was one of my cards.

Thank-you for checking in today!

Happy Easter!

We had planned to take this week off over at the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/).... but then we started thinking "wait a minute, this is the last week to purchase products from the Occasions Mini Catalog!" We had to post something...so, here you go a surprise post from all of the Sisters. Here is my card--

This is a card for all of my Downline who helped with our Quarterly Meeting April 9th. I was inspired by this super cute card by Sharon Burkert (http://www.sharonburkert.com/as_the_ink_dries/2011/03/sew-suite-polka-dot-thread.html). I used the jumbo wheel In Stitches across the top, I like the way the swirly stitch runs across the top of the panel with the bobbins. This technique is called paper piecing and it is fun, but can be a little tedious with all of the cutting.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a relaxing week-end celebrating Easter!

Easter Cards for Fabulous Friday

Over at the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) we are highlighting Easter cards. Here is the card--

This was a trade at the Downline Meeting last wee-end. Katie (http://StampLadyKatie.blogspot.com) said she copied it from Jackie Topa (http://jackietopa.typepad.com). It is very clever...most of the pieces are done with the Blossom Petals Punch (Item #121808, pg.12) from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It has been amazing what people have come up with using this punch--besides flowers.

I have been MIA the last couple of weeks! I wish I could say we are done with our bathroom remodeling. Although we are very close. I will post pictures when things get done (and cleaned--because things are very dusty here).

Need to get going, have a great Easter! The Lord has Risen!
