Fabulous Elements of Style

You might not recognise this stamp set or it's name.....unless you have received your copy of the new Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog! If you need a copy send me an e-mail and I'll be sure to get one in the mail for you. This set is so versatile (I know I say that a lot!)---but it's true. It's very eclectic and it makes the most beautiful cards. Shelli gave us this set at Leadership in January and something happened that I've never seen before. I have been to quite a few Stampin' Up! Events, just had my 9 year Anniversary with SU! Shelli said it best on her blog, "The demonstrators went bananas over that (set), rocking back and forth and waving the sets in the air. I felt like I was at a rock concert—it was a great sight from the stage." I was there and it was amazing!
I think we all knew when we saw it that it was one of those special stamp sets. It appeals to everybody--and it's quite lovely. Well, all that and I haven't shown you my card yet! Here it is--

It was my trade at the Milwaukee Regional April 10.
SU! Supplies used--
Stamp sets: Elements of Style (pg. 12, Summer Mini Catalog). Accessories: vintage brads, designer label punch, dimensionals, stamping sponges. Paper: Very Vanilla, Pale Plum, Basic Black. Ink: Basic Black.
Make sure you check out the other Sisters cards (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/). See you next week!
Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Awash with Flowers on Friday

Hello and welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday post. This week the Sisters (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) are making projects with a NEW set Awash with Flowers, here is my card--

I used one of the flowers in the set on it's side for the butterfly-- using the black marker to make the antenna and body of the butterfly. I'm putting together a demonstration on BigShot folders for the Quarterly Janesville Meeting on May 1st. This will be one of the cards I'll show at the Meeting--just another great perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. If you live in the area conntact me for more info. The design in the white cardstock was made by using a small frame with an oval cut from it, here is a picture of what it looks like--

I found them in the wedding section of my local craft store. You layer the frame under the folder before you send it thru the BigShot. Supplies used--

Stamp sets: Awash with Flowers, Full of Life. Accessories: Almost Amethyst marker, Basic Black marker, Stamp-a-ma-jig, organza ribbon, BigShot, Finial Press folder. Paper: Whisper White, Almost Amethyst. Ink: Basic Black, Almost Amethyst.

See you next time, until then happy stamping! Karla c(:

Fabulous BigShot for Friday

Today for the Fabulous Friday post at Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blog.spot.com/) the four of us are posting for your perusal cards and projects made with the awesomely awesome BigShot. Here is my project:

It's a box with a cute little belly band with flower attached. The flower was made with the die Flower Folds #115970. I used one of the pink corduroy buttons from the Occasions Mini catalog (only a couple more weeks for that catalog left). I opened up the box to take a picture:

Here is what's inside--there is a bath fizzy and I used the Flower Folds die to cut compressed sponge. I ordered it from the Internet (e-mail me and I'll give you the web site).

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp sets: With All My Heart (pg.12, Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Pretty in Pink corduroy buttons, BigShot, Flower Folds die, Bermuda Bay marker, Melon Mambo marker, mat pack, paper piercing tool. Paper: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery. Ink: Bermuda Bay

This was one of the projects we taught at the BigShot Class. We will be repeating this class in Janesville, if you are interested in attending e-mail me and I'll send you the information. See you next week, Karla c(:

2-Stepping Fabulous Friday

Is it Friday again?? We are mid Spring Break here at our house, doing some Spring Cleaning. The Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) are focusing on the 2-Step Promotion that started this week at Stampin' Up! This is the card I made--

Whenever we have a trade at a Stampin' Up! Downline Meeting I like to give it theme. Last month's theme was an "Inspiration Trade." You take something that inspires you (a dish, a piece of clothing, etc) and you make a card with that inspiration. This is my inspiration--

I purchased this scarf in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. Here are the SU! supplies that I used--

Stamp sets: Flower Fancy (pg.101, 2009-2010 IB&C), Extreme Elements (pg.81, 2009-2010). Accessories: dimensionals, heat gun, gold embossing powder, Stampin Sponges, Modern Label punch, 1/4" Elegant Eggplant grosgrain, mini glue dots. Paper: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Brocade Blue, Melon Mambo, Lavender Lace. Ink: Melon Mambo, Versamark, Lavender Lace, Old Olive.

If you'd like more info on the Promotion click on the Stampin' Up! button to the left. Thank-you for stopping by, check out Sisters in Stamping (http://stampinwithk.blogspot.com/) to see what the others are doing.

Until next week, Karla c(:
