Folds for Friday

Welcome to another Fabulous Friday, we are folding today at Sisters in Stamping. Here is my card--

I used a Drapery Fold or sometimes called a Pleated Skirt Fold for this card using the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (pg.148, #152494, $21.00) I have needed to add more Sympathy cards to my box for awhile, seems like I go through these faster than normal. The stamp set is called Touched My Heart (pg.187, #153497, Hostess Set $12.00). Colored the ribbon and the butterfly using the Gray Granite Stampin' Blends (pg.142, #154886, $9.00).

Here is a link to the technique.

Thank-you as always for stopping by!! Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

A New way to Paint

It's my Friday over at the Sisters blog and the post is late this week, what can I say.... The new way to paint is called Scrape Painting and it's MESSY! I think all 3 of us had not prepared for the drying time our background(s) needed! Here it is Sunday and it is finally assembled--

In the Scrape Painting Tutorial it says that you can use a straight edge to move the paint around the card, I had an old mini blind, I broke a piece off about 8 inches long. I must have put too much paint on my card stock, because I found that if I lifted the straight edge just a smidge as I spun the card stock around it left a petal like puddle. I really like the way it looks!!

I used the super cute stamp set called Nothing's Better Than (pg. 91, #152507, $22.00 set/#154061,  $46.75 bundle).

Thank-you for coming by today! Happy stamping, Karla 😊

Box it Up!

Welcome! It's Fabulous Friday once again over at the Sisters in Stamping and we are showing some packaging ideas. Here is my idea for today's post--

It's called a triangle box, it's an oldie but a goodie that's been around for years. It may have been the very first box I made when I started stamping 10 years ago!

I used the InColor Pretty Peacock and the matching Scalloped Linen ribbon.
Side view of my triangle box:

The set I used is called Floral Essence, #149450, $17.00.

Click here for a step by step tutorial on how I made my box.

Fall Leaves with Re-Inkers

Hello! This week's theme over at the Sisters in Stamping is Re-Inkers, here is my card for this week--

I have wanted to try this technique for quite some time, it's super easy and I wanted the leaves to look like they are falling with the swipes of color. Here is a link to the technique I used: Credit Card Technique I used re-inkers to make my background instead of acrylic paint like she did.

This set is in the 2020 Holiday Mini Catalog

Lovely Leaves & Stitched Leaves Dies, (#155195, $47.50)

A Manly Card

It's Friday!! Seems like this year has just flown by at times and then gone so slow too-- how can that be?? Anyway, I'm sure your not here to talk about the time space continuum, here's my card--

I started out using masculine colors because that is the theme for this week, but now that I sit back and take a look at my card it's not really gender related, it's a Sympathy card. It could easily be changed by swapping out the sentiment. The set is called Snow Front (pg.58, #150483, $22.00) I have used this set before here

It has quite a few pieces for assembling nature scenes. One of my Sisters used a similar stamp set called Waterfront to make her card today. Make sure you go over to the Sisters site to check her card. Snow Front and Waterfront were both designed by the same artist.

Thank-you for coming out today!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😋

Hey There, Pumpkin!

Hey it's Friday! Welcome to today's blingy post, here is my card--

So glad this stamp set, Harvest Hellos (pg.89, #150581, $21.00) made the cut from last year's Holiday Mini Catalog!

Thank-you cards, Teacher Thank-you's, Get Well, Halloween-- just think of all of the others!
This set also coordinates with the Apple Builder Punch (pg.167, #150663, $18.00). I've blinged up my pumpkin with some rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by!

Embossing Folders

The Sisters in Stamping are taking a look/see at Embossing Folders this week for Fabulous Friday. Here is my card--

It's a monochromatic card using the colors Mint Melody and InColor Just Jade. The Embossing Folder I decided to use for today's challenge is called Parisian Flourish (#151474, $10.00). It is a 3D Folder which means that the folder is thicker so that the design in the paper can be deeper and more pronounced. I took that feature and used it by highlighting it with the ink pad of the same color as the card stock by laying it right on top of the embossed card stock. I really like the way the ink pad left some ink on parts of the paper and then left some of it blank.

Thank-you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

It's All About the Blending

The name of the stamp set that I used today is called Tasteful Touches (pg.124, #152562). This set coordinates with Tasteful Labels Die (pg.179, 152886) and all 3 pieces on the front are cut with these dies. If you want both the dies and the set make sure you Bundle them with the Tasteful Touches Bundle (pg.124, 154098) and get 10% off.

I stamped the flower with Gorgeous Grape and then used the Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to color it in. I also used the Blends to color my rhinestones.

Aqua Painter Birthday

I'm back this week with a card for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday post. We are looking at the Aqua Painters this week, they are on the Last Chance Retiring List. Here is my card--

When I found out that we were featuring the Aqua Painters this week I just couldn't help myself -- I went into my Box of retiring stamp sets and products! This card is made completely of retiring products:

five ink pads
We will start with the ink and the card stock, I've really enjoyed this InColor combo, so bright and cheery! I'll be sad to see them go.

lace ribbbon border punch
Next, the punched strip along the side was done with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, it is also on the list.

sequin sticker pack
Take a close look at the stamped flowers and you'll see the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins (#146933, $7.00).

Perennial Birthday Cling-Mount Stamp Set
Lastly, the stamp set Perennial Birthday (#151250, $22.00).

There you have it! Go over to the Sisters blog today to see the other cards.
