Hanging the Ornaments

I'm an ornament person, I'll admit it. Maybe I should go to Ornaments Anonymous....nah!

As soon as I saw the Foil Snowflakes in the Holiday Mini Catalog I thought Christmas Ornament! I love giving hand made ornaments to friends and the Foil Snowflakes are so delicate and flashy they are perfect for gift giving.

Last week the Sisters in Stamping posted quick and easy party favors. I'm going to put my Snowflake Ornaments in my favor and give them to coworkers.

I used the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends marker to color rhinestones for the holly on my tag.

Thank-you for coming by today! Go over to take a look see at the other ornaments the
Sisters have posted.
Happy Stamping, Karla 😉

2017 Holiday Mini Favorite

The Sisters in Stamping are picking their favorite stamp sets from the newly released 2017 Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

The set I used from the Mini Catalog is called Hug in a Mug, the set comes with 32 images:

It's my favorite from the Holiday Mini because it's so versatile! Just think of all the mugs you could stamp with it.

See you next week! Karla 😉

Manly Pink?

There have been some technical difficulties at the Sisters in Stamping, I think we have figured it out. We are doing Masculine cards this week, here is my card--

I used Watts of Occasions stamp set, it's another new one in the 2017-18 Idea Book & Catalog. I did some sponging on the light bulb to make it look lit up, and then a sponge dauber to color in the heart. I realize pink is not a masculine color but this card has a real guy feel to it.

Manly, I think so. What do you think of the pink?

Happy Stamping, Karla 😉

Fall Treat

This is one of the new stamp sets from the 2017-18 Idea Book & Catalog called Colorful Seasons. There is a option in the catalog to bundle the set with a matching Framelit set called Seasonal Layers (17 dies) for a 10% discount. I used the Baby Wipe Technique (found here) to color my leaves in (reinkers used: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie) and the gold leaf was made with my BigShot and a die from the Framelit set.

Thank-you for stopping by today!

With Sympathy

I used the Thick Very Vanilla card stock (#144237, $7.00), it's new in the catalog this year. It works well for card bases, but it's great for watercoloring too. I used sponges to color my flowers.

Hello! It's BigShot Day over at the Sisters, here is my card--

I picked the Stitched Framelits as my BigShot favorite....I just can not keep my hands off of those! I used the new set called Orange Blossom to make my Susans giving them their black eyes with a sponge dauber.

Dinosaur Kid Card

Here is my card for this week's Sisters challenge, Kid's cards and projects.

This card was made with a fun little boy color combination, Pear Pizzaz, Smokey Slate and Pacific Point. It could be easily changed to a little girl card by swapping out the Pacific Point with Rich Razzleberry. I put a fun teeny tiny googlie eye on my birthday wishing dino!

Hope you can come by next week, we will making some gifts!

Happy Stamping, Karla 😉

Foxy Out of the Boxy

The stamp set I used is called Foxy Friends-- that is where the pine tree and the fox come from. The "Just a Note..." is from the stamp set called Better Together. This card is a twist on this Splitcoast Tutorial, instead of using a die I used the 1 3/4" round punch of vellum to draw the circle with the tail of the fox "out of the box." The trees are done with the Repetition Technique.

Thanks for coming by today! Make sure you check out the other Animal Cards the
Sisters have posted today, Karla 😉

Fabulous Firecracker

This is one of the projects from the June Find A Friend Class. It's a toilet paper tube, decorated with card stock, punch art and washi tape and filled with Freedom Rings (red, white and blue gummy rings). My husband said it looked very Captain America to him, I guess he's right.

Thanks for checking my blog out today, see you next week!

New Goodies!!

TAH DAH!!

May I introduce you to the brand NEW Idea Book and Catalog 2017-18?

I had the chance to pre-order some new stuff a couple of weeks ago. This is one of my cards that I did for a swap that I joined--

It uses a new stamp set called Crafting Forever, pg 181. And, this is one of the new InColors, Lemon Lime Twist.

I was taking pictures on my craft desk of today's card. After I loaded them onto my lap top I turned around and saw this! I couldn't help but snap this cute picture of my little Rudy.

Happy Stamping! Thank-you for joining me today-- Karla 😏

Easter Treat

Hello there! And, Happy Easter! I know it's a little early but I'm getting into the season over at Sisters in Stamping blog with today's post of festive Easter stuff. Here is my project--

I used the 2x2 cellophane boxes that are in the main catalog (#141699, $7.50/16 boxes) and the stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Window Shopping (pg.43) to stamp 2 of the sides with Stazon (101406, $9.00). Filled the box with some colorful jelly beans, tied it up with Mini Striped Cucumber Ribbon (141429, $8.00/10 yds.).

Lastly, I made a small punch art carrot using the Festive Flower Builder Punch (#139682, $18.00). Turned out super CUTE!

Thank-you for coming by, see you next week!

Flowers to Brighten your Day

The Sisters in Stamping post for today is flowers to bring you out of the winter blues, but it's not feeling very wintery around here-- 60's today and 70's tomorrow. But, news says winter has another storm on the way. Oh goody! Here is my flowery card for today--

I'm dedicating this card to my wonderful Mother-in-Law, Connie who passed away yesterday. "To someone who makes others so happy" just sounds like her.

I took a small notch out of the side of the card with the 1/2" circle punch to hold my Old Olive bakers twine. The flowers are colored with markers, Old Olive, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo.

Thank-you for coming by again, hope to see you next week!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😏

Hearts and Kisses

I used a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog, it's called Sealed With Love (#142815, $21.00). The set comes with 3 hearts of the same size that I mounted on the same block so I could stamp them at the same time.

Happy Valentines Day!

A Little Valentine

Sisters in Stamping are posting 3D Valentine's Day gifts. Here is my project--

I used the Popcorn Box thinlits (#141473, $33.00) before I put it together I punched it 4 times across the top with the Confetti Hearts Border punch (#137415, $22.00). To create the tag I used a new set from the Occasions Mini called Just Keep Swimming (#143010, $16.00). Inside is one of those rings where the jewel is candy and an eraser shaped like a ring. I took inspiration from Julie Davison's box, here is a link so you can go check it out.

Thank-you for stopping by today, happy Friday!

Beep, Beep!

It's Sale-A-Bration!!! The Sisters in Stamping are showing off some of the SAB products this Fabulous Friday. Here is my card--

I used one of the cutest sets that Stampin' Up! has put out in a while, it's called Tasty Trucks. It is a set of 16 photopolymer stamps (Item #143300) the set includes ice cream cone, taco, cupcake and other foods. I colored my truck with markers and ink pads and then trimmed it out. Placed it on the Smoky Slate card stock that I did some Repetition Stamping-- I inked the truck up with Basic Black ink and stamped it about a 1/4" from the right edge. I continued to stamp the truck (with out reinking!!) moving the image to the left a 1/2" with each stamp. It's a fun technique that makes the truck look like it's moving. Beep, beep!!

Thank-you for stopping by today!
Have a great week-end, Karla 😋
