Fabulous Ornaments

The Sisters in Stamping are making ornaments to trim your Christmas tree. I love to make and buy ornaments and I'm on the lookout for creative Christmas ornaments all year long. I've had this idea for a long time just waiting to spring it on you! Are you ready??? Here it is--

Isn't he cute??

Last year for Christmas I received a wood burning tool from my husband-- I love it! I made some Keepsake Ornaments last month for the students that made it to All State Choir this year (see photo below). When I finished them I played around with the leftover wood stars that I had and my new stamps from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I stamped the snowman in Crumb Cake ink and used my wood burning tool to burn the image into the wood star.

Make sure you come back next week, the Sisters will be celebrating Black Friday. Until then-- Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Thanksgiving Table Favors

Hey there! I took last week off, I'm sure you noticed...but I'm back this week with a super cute favor for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday Post--

One of my co-workers found this idea in a magazine and brought it to me. She needed 30 of them for her grandson's school party. I ordered the cone shaped bags here , I had saved this pin from Cristy Butzen a couple of years ago on how to make candy corn punch art. Here is a picture of the tag close-up--

I used the SU! white gel pen to write in the sentiment. They were a big hit!

Simple Christmas

It's time to gear up for Annual Christmas card making and I have found that really simple Christmas cards are the way to go. It is my turn to pick the theme on the Sisters in Stamping blog and I picked Easy to Reproduce Christmas Cards. Here is my card--

The tree shows colored through the star punch-- isn't that clever!!

Here is a picture of the front close-up.

Well, that's it for me this week, see you next Friday!

Fall Decor

We are making Fall Decor at the Sisters in Stamping blog, here is what I made--

If you have been following me you have noticed that I'm posting this little frame frequently. I started this project with my Mother Daughter Class last December, every month we make a new seasonal monthly insert for our frame-- this is November's insert. I used the stamp set called Vintage Leaves. The "Give Thanks" stamp comes from Sparkly Seasons (must stop using that stamp set!!)

Here are some of the other months-

For the Teacher

It's Back to School here at the Anders' house....YIPPPEE!! No really, I'm a little melancholy, my son started his Senior year in High School yesterday-- time goes by so fast!! Over at the
Sisters in Stamping it's Fabulous Friday once again and we are making Teacher Gifts.
 Here is my project--

It's the first time I've been able to use the Fine Tip Glue Pen, WOW I love it! I gave my little Teacher Owl glasses and a piece of chalk, in the past I've dreaded gluing everything up but that new Glue Pen works really slick. The books where made with the Word Window Punch.

Pinning for Inspiration

Welcome to my portion of this week's Fabulous Friday Post from the Sisters in Stamping. The Sisters are using Pins from Pinterest as inspiration for their creations. Here is my card--

The stamp set is called Sprinkles of Life, it is the RMHC set for 2015-16 and it comes with a matching punch. I made a few modifications to the original pin (Brian King) that inspired my card....I punched the cherry out using Red Glimmer Paper. And, I used the "sprinkle" stamp that's in the set along the right hand side.

Thank-you for coming by, go check out the other Pinspirations that the Sisters have put together.

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

The Sisters in Stamping blog are showing some new stamp sets this week. Here is my card--

This cute little set is called You're Sublime from Stampin' Up!, it's one of the new sets in the 2015-16 Idea Book & Catalog. I used the Watermelon Wonder (2015-17 InColor) to color my crab. The sand is Sahara Sand, and he's picking up Bermuda Bay sequins (I peeled them off of the trim and attached them with glue dots).

Thank-you for stopping by today! Happy stamping and have a snappy day! Karla c(:

2015-17 InColors

Here is my card for this week, Rachel over at the Sisters in Stamping blog picked the new 2015-17 InColors as a focus this week.

I used the new Butterfly embossing folder opened and sponged each of the new InColors across the folder starting with Watermelon on the top. Sprayed the folder with water and then using the new thicker Whisper White card stock "printed" the butterflies. Once it dried I put it on dimensionals. I took my inspiration from this blog post where she used the Hexagon Embossing Folder to print her background.

Father's Day for the Sisters

Hello there! We (The Sisters in Stamping) are putting out some Father's Day ideas this week for the Fabulous Friday post. Here is my project--

It is a paper "wallet." I did a search on Pinterest and found this Tutorial. I tweaked a bit, I wanted 2 gift card pockets.

And, I wanted to do the Faux Alligator Technique on the outside (here is the Tutorial for that).

Here is a picture of the inside. I used the chalk marker to make the stitches, and stamp sets Lovely as a Tree and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Thank-you for looking! See you next week-- Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Adele's Scrapbook

I made this page last year, I was hired to make a scrapbook. There were loads of programs from concerts and awards and certificates, not so many pictures...so most pages had file tabs or pockets to hold all of the extras.

Here is a picture of the left side.

This is the right side of the 2 page spread. I used the Envelope Punch board to make the
file tabs across the top.

Thank-you for coming by! Karla c(:

I {heart} You

Hey there, Happy Valentines Day! The Sisters in Stamping are making Valentines, here is mine--

I found this project and this project and sorta smooshed the two of them together for my Valentine Project today.
Here is a picture of the back.
The Real Red card stock is 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded in half. Place the die about a 1/4 inch above the fold and run through the BigShot. Purchased the Googly Eyes at the big box store, they are 15mm.
You'll need to cut off that small tab on the side. Fold on the lines that the die makes. Stamp it up, a bit of ribbon-- tuck in some Conversation Hearts and there you go. Way cute and simple to boot.

Go on over to the Sisters blog to see the other creations!
Happy Stamping, Karla c(:
