So Special Sunday

Hello welcome to another Sisters in Stamping Sunday Fun Day! It's Rachel's turn this week and she picked a Mini Scrapbook challenge. Here is my project--

I used several retiring products, stamp set: Tasteful Touches (#152562, $23.00), ribbon: Petal Pink Organdy (#149441, $4.80), paper: In Good Taste ($12.60).

Here is a picture of my Mini Scrapbook open, I used some of the stamps from the set to decorate the pages. I made 2 mistakes when I put it together... can you spot them? Message me if you do, I have a small gift for you!

Thank-you for stopping by today!

Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

Adele's Scrapbook

I made this page last year, I was hired to make a scrapbook. There were loads of programs from concerts and awards and certificates, not so many pictures...so most pages had file tabs or pockets to hold all of the extras.

Here is a picture of the left side.

This is the right side of the 2 page spread. I used the Envelope Punch board to make the
file tabs across the top.

Thank-you for coming by! Karla c(:

Pinterest Inspired Friday

Hello- and welcome to today's Fabulous Friday post from the Sisters in Stamping. It's Debbie's turn over at the Sister's blog and she picked a card or project that is inspired by something I've pinned over at Pinterest. Here is my inspiration pin--
love this color palette - shades of coral and mint
Isn't a beautiful cake? I just loved the softness of the colors and all of the ruffles as soon as I saw this Pin.  Here is my 8x8 scrapbook page that I created using this picture as inspiration--

We made this page at the last Mother Daughter Stamping Class. I used some of the paper that is part of Sale-A-Bration (purchase $50 of Merchandise, pick a free product as a thank-you). Which reminds me
SAB ends March 31, 2014.... contact me today if you'd like to place an order. I repeated the ruffle theme from the cake with the 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim in Crisp Cantaloupe (#130021, $8.95) along the side of the Whisper White piece of card stock.

The heart accent on the side was made using the arrow from the Thinlit Card Die set called
Label Cards (Item #133479, $32.95). I punched 2 holes in the heart (Full Heart, #119883, $16.95) cut the arrow in 1/2 and used some glue to stick it down on the back side. I think it turned out really cute and the girls really enjoyed making it.

Thank-you for stopping by and make sure you come back next week to see some awesome Easter cards.

Scrapbooking Friday

It's Friday once again and you know what that means... it's time for the Fabulous Friday post. The Sisters in Stamping are showing scrapbook pages this week, here is my page--

I had a special request for a camping page, this is the page we did at the last Mother Daughter/ Find a Friend Class. I used a photopolymer set called Greetings From ($13.95, #134621). Go see what the other Sisters are up to this week, and we will see you back here next Friday!

Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Scrapbook Pages for Friday

It's my week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog. I picked Back to School Scrapbook pages for the theme. Here is my page--

I used the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, I thought it was appropriate--kiss that Summer good-bye! The strips of paper are cut in 1" strips and I used the Pennant punch to make the pencil tips. Clever, eh? We will be making this 8x8 page at the next Mother Daughter Class on Wednesday. I thought it would make a great page to put class photo's on, you know the little ones that you trade with your friends. E-mail me if you live in the area and you'd like to attend.

Go over to the Sisters blog and check out what the other girls are doing-- some very cool My Digital Studio stuff.

Happy Stamping!

Fabulous Scrapbooking Pages

Hello! Today on the Sisters in Stamping blog we are focusing on scrapbook pages. Here is my 6x6 page for this week--

I used one of the sets (that I love dearly-boo hoo) that will be retiring the end of May called Inspired by Nature. I used Always Artichoke, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip Markers to color the flowers.
I recently started teaching a Mother Daughter Class. Last month when we made a scrapbook page one of the 8 year olds asked, "what am I gonna do with this?" Legitimate question I thought, and I said something like, "you could put magnets on the back of it and hang it on the refrigerator."

Later I had a AH HA design moment, what if at the next class I had them put magnets on the back of a page protector and they put their monthly 6x6 scrapbook page on the frig in it? So there you have it-- every month they come to the class they have a new page for the frig, and the beginning of a Album of their own. Here is the back of the page protector, we trimmed the binder side off and placed sticky magnets on each corner.

Thank-you for stopping by today. Hopefully you'll be able to come by next Friday, it's my week and I've picked retiring stamp sets as the theme.

Happy Stamping!

Designer Series Paper Love

Good Day! Welcome back to another Fabulous Friday-- this week we are highlighting Designer Series Paper, or as we all call it DSP. I used the DSP that is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, it's called Everyday Enchantment. Here is a picture of my scrapbook page--

It turned out very bright and cheery. I really like this DSP because it's not all "girly" there are some nice gender neutral patterns and some flowers too. All the sheets are 2-sided, so you are getting a lot of bang for your buck when you purchase DSP from Stampin' Up!
I didn't want it too girly because I have some really cute pictures of Ted when he was little in the garden smelling flowers that I'd like to put on this page. Yes, I know-- a scrapbook page is unusual for me! I'm trying to kill 2 birds with one stone...I'll be teaching a new class next week called Mother Daughter Madness and this will be one of the projects everyone will be making. If you live in the area and you'd like to attend send me an e-mail and I'll get you the details on the class.

Thank-you for coming by today!

Scrapbook pages for Friday

Blogger was down this morning and we were unable to post the Fabulous Friday until later, sorry for the inconvenience.

Welcome to my blog, thank-you for stopping by! This week at the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) we are doing a little scrapbooking in honor of National Scrapbooking Month. Here is my 12x12 page--

My intention is to put pictures from our recent bathroom remodel(s) on the page. I used the stamp set called Totally Tool and the background set called Woodgrain. I stamped the tools on cardstock, cut them out and used dimensionals to pop them off of the page.

Stop by next week to see the new triple layer punch in action.

Happy Stamping! Karla c(:
