Aqua Painter Birthday

I'm back this week with a card for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday post. We are looking at the Aqua Painters this week, they are on the Last Chance Retiring List. Here is my card--

When I found out that we were featuring the Aqua Painters this week I just couldn't help myself -- I went into my Box of retiring stamp sets and products! This card is made completely of retiring products:

five ink pads
We will start with the ink and the card stock, I've really enjoyed this InColor combo, so bright and cheery! I'll be sad to see them go.

lace ribbbon border punch
Next, the punched strip along the side was done with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, it is also on the list.

sequin sticker pack
Take a close look at the stamped flowers and you'll see the Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins (#146933, $7.00).

Perennial Birthday Cling-Mount Stamp Set
Lastly, the stamp set Perennial Birthday (#151250, $22.00).

There you have it! Go over to the Sisters blog today to see the other cards.

 Happy Stamping! Karla 😊

Happy Mother's Day!

Well hey, and welcome back! This week the Sisters in Stamping are showing Mother's Day cards, here is my card for today--

I used a retiring stamp set (yes, it's that time of year) called Delightful Day (pg. 34, #149466), it is a small set that, as you can see has quite few uses:

DELIGHTFUL DAY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

Inside I used the stem stamp in a line and added Happy Mother's Day from Itty Bitty Greetings (pg.30, #151331). Both of the colors I used Call Me Clover (card stock) and Lovely Lipstick (card stock and ribbon) are retiring InColors. Click here to take a look at the whole retiring list.

Thank-you for stopping by!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😀

Little Box of Love

For a second week the focus is retiring sets and product from the 2018-19 Idea Book & Catalog. Here is my project for today's Sisters in Stamping post--

I used the retiring stamp set Inspired Events (pg. 88, #143693, $26.00). I was really disappointed to see this set on the list last month-- you see I had just purchased it!! 😒

The Gable Boxes are retiring (pg. 193, #145568, $8.00/12 boxes), also the Rich Razzelberry Velvet Ribbon (pg. 201, #147016, $8.00/10yds.).

Last day to order these products is June 3, 2019!

This little box of love would be perfect for a Graduate or Bride!

Way to go Grad

Hello there! I have a great Graduation card to show you this week for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday post.

I used a retiring stamp set and dies called Swirly Bird. The great thing about this card is that it can be tailored to your graduates school colors.

Thank-you for stopping!

Ready for Spring!

Oh my, can you believe we are already into May! Although it has been a little chilly here in South Dakota and it hasn't felt like Spring has arrived. The Sisters are showing off some cute Spring cards tho this week, here is my donation--

I used the soon to be retired Hostess set called Springtime Stroll. Love that little bird wearing the boots-- way too cute! The background set, Burlap and the ribbon are also leaving-- too bad really like that burlap look. 😢

Thank-you for coming by today! Here's hoping that we get some warmer weather and that it doesn't go right to Summer eh?

Happy Stamping, Karla 😉

Trying a New Technique

Welcome back to this week's Fabulous Friday post. The Sisters in Stamping are trying a new technique this week is called Masking Tape printing (here is a tutorial for the technique). I've also incorporated some retiring Stampin' Up! products--

I used quite a few retiring products, first the stamp set-- it's called Lemon Zest and it has a matching punch Lemon Builder #143712. The color is called Lemon Lime Twist and it is one 2017-2019 InColor that is also retiring, along with the black Mini Sequin trim #144259. The technique calls for painter's tape but I used some of the retiring Washi Tape instead, it worked well as a replacement.

Here is the inside of my card, I used the other 1/2 of my lime wedge.

Well, that's it for me, make sure to take a look at what the other Sisters are doing!
Happy Stamping! Karla 😉

I used the color combo of Chocolate Chip, Whisper White and Powder Pink. The Designer Series Paper is part of the InColor Fresh Florals pack. Oh, I almost forgot the little InColor bows....really sad 😢 to see those go, they are just too cute.

Flowers!

A little late this week, computer problems! The Sisters in Stamping theme this week is Flowers! Here is my card--

This stamp, Vivid Vases is retiring. I stamped the image with Basic Black Archival ink on So Saffron card stock and used the White Gel Pen (#105021, $4.00, retiring supplies limited) to color the daisy and the daffodil. The other flower colors were done with markers.

We will be talking about more retired sets and accessories next week, see you then!

Retiring for Fabulous Friday

Welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday post! The Sisters in Stamping are using their favorite retiring stamp sets this week, one last good-bye. Here is my card for this week--

It's pretty simple! I really like the pink and the gray together, so classy. The stamp set is called Baroque Motifs and it has been around for awhile now...so I guess it's ready to go, but it's always sad to see a Classic like this one leave the catalog.

I also used one of the retiring stamp sets on the inside (Full of Life) along with one of the elements from the Baroque Motifs set-- I stamped it off first tho so I could used the same ink color. It dressed this pretty Wedding card up nicely I think.

Next week the Sisters are having a little preview of the new 2012-13 Idea Book & Catalog so make sure you swing on back next Friday.

Thank-you as always for stopping by today!

Good-bye Friday

We are still lamenting over our favorite retiring stamp sets at the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/). Here is my card for this week--

I used the retiring Eastern Blooms to make this kimono fold. It was one of our Make & Takes at the last Heartisan Downline Meeting. We made these cards to donate to a fund raiser for the victims of the tsunami in Japan.

Next week we will be making cards with brand spankin' new stamp sets! Lots of fun...the new catalog will be released July 1, always love this time of year!

Happy stamping,

Karla c(:

PS. E-mail me if you are interested in joining my Group. We have a lot of fun!

Good-bye cute little bugs!

This week at Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) we a using some of our retiring stamp sets. Here is my card--

We did this card at the Madison Mega Stamp-a-Stack in April. I will really miss this stamp set Bugs & Kisses #116580, it's so kid friendly! The technique is called Collage, you start with the largest image and fill in the holes with the smaller stamps, make sure you turn the stamp and stamp off of the paper--that makes it look random. Simple and fun!

We are sharing more of our favorite retiring sets next week. Make sure you check back!

Happy Stamping,

Karla c(:
