Owl Shaped Card Today

Hello! The Sisters in Stamping are making shaped cards this week, here is my card--

Love the fun color combo Blush Blossom, Pear Pizzaz, Flirty Flamingo and Pale Papaya. I traced my template (below) on Blushed Blossom stamped it with the stamp set Spiral Dye (#156927, $17.00) in Flirty Flamingo. The used the die set called Tasteful Labels-- which by the way is retiring soon (#152886, $31.00) for the eyes and the sentiment.

To make my template I cut a sheet from my pad of Stampin' Up! placemats, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I folded the piece in 1/2 lengthwise and rounded the corner and pointed the top to form the ears.

I used the scalloped Heart Punch for the wings and beak.

Here is a picture of the card standing, you can see his little wings are folded up.

Come back next week, the Sisters will be showing some projects made with retiring stamp sets.

Happy Stamping! Karla 😊

Fabulous Firecracker

This is one of the projects from the June Find A Friend Class. It's a toilet paper tube, decorated with card stock, punch art and washi tape and filled with Freedom Rings (red, white and blue gummy rings). My husband said it looked very Captain America to him, I guess he's right.

Thanks for checking my blog out today, see you next week!

Well hey there! We are celebrating the upcoming 4th of July at the Sisters in Stamping blog this week. I'm posting a little punch art 3D item that we made at the last Mother Daughter Class, Uncle Sam was a big hit!!

Punch Art Birthday Bee

Well, hello! The Sisters in Stamping are making projects with Punch Art this week. Here is my card--

I used the Petite Pairs stamp set and the Hexagon punch to make this Birthday card, it was just natural to make a little punch art Bee to go with this layout.

Last week-end I attended a crafting class at my church here in Yankton, this is what we made:
Is'nt it the cutest?? Laura K. taught the class and she cut all of the wood pieces out for us ahead of time. We could paint them and decorate them any way we wanted, it was too much fun-- thanks Laura!!! Anyway, all week I kept thinking about the Bee on my flower, and I used him as inspiration for today's card.
Here is a close up picture of my bee (I couldn't resist putting googly eyes on him like the ones on my card).

Thank-you for coming by today...see you next week for some special projects using the Clearance Rack.
Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Thanksgiving Table Favors

Hey there! I took last week off, I'm sure you noticed...but I'm back this week with a super cute favor for the Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday Post--

One of my co-workers found this idea in a magazine and brought it to me. She needed 30 of them for her grandson's school party. I ordered the cone shaped bags here , I had saved this pin from Cristy Butzen a couple of years ago on how to make candy corn punch art. Here is a picture of the tag close-up--

I used the SU! white gel pen to write in the sentiment. They were a big hit!

Thank-you for coming by today! Karla c(:

For the Teacher

It's Back to School here at the Anders' house....YIPPPEE!! No really, I'm a little melancholy, my son started his Senior year in High School yesterday-- time goes by so fast!! Over at the
Sisters in Stamping it's Fabulous Friday once again and we are making Teacher Gifts.
 Here is my project--

It's the first time I've been able to use the Fine Tip Glue Pen, WOW I love it! I gave my little Teacher Owl glasses and a piece of chalk, in the past I've dreaded gluing everything up but that new Glue Pen works really slick. The books where made with the Word Window Punch.

Thank-you for dropping by! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Easter Scrapbook Page for this Friday

It's Friday once again and over at the Sisters in Stamping blog we are showcasing scrapbook pages. Here is mine for this week--

We made this 8x8 page at the last Mother Daughter Class using the Blossom Petals Builder punch (#121808, pg.185 2012-13 IB&C). I found inspiration from one of my Downline, Katie Johnson she has other cards that she's made using this punch on her blog. Found out last Wednesday that this punch is on the list to be retired May 31, 2013.

Well, that's it for me today but the other Sisters have pages to show you so make sure you go by and take a look see.
See you next week! Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Quick and Easy Gift Ideas

Welcome! The Sisters in Stamping blog is featuring Quick and Easy Gift Ideas for our Fabulous Friday post. Here is my idea--

It is a money holder, cause there is nothin' faster than money, I think! I used the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch (#118874, $16.95) to make my tree (Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green). The Real Red card stock is 6 3/4"x 9" scored at 3" and 6" and then I trimmed 1/4" off of one end so that it would not bind when I folded it. Here is a picture of the inside--

There is a small tab of Velcro to keep it closed. I made a couple to have on hand...in case of an Emergency!

Have a great week, and we will see you back next Friday....we will be showing off some handmade Ornaments for your Christmas Tree.

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Scrapbook Pages for Friday

It's my week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog. I picked Back to School Scrapbook pages for the theme. Here is my page--

I used the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper, I thought it was appropriate--kiss that Summer good-bye! The strips of paper are cut in 1" strips and I used the Pennant punch to make the pencil tips. Clever, eh? We will be making this 8x8 page at the next Mother Daughter Class on Wednesday. I thought it would make a great page to put class photo's on, you know the little ones that you trade with your friends. E-mail me if you live in the area and you'd like to attend.

Go over to the Sisters blog and check out what the other girls are doing-- some very cool My Digital Studio stuff.

Happy Stamping!

Fabulous Easter Projects

At the Sisters in Stamping (Debbie Naylor, Jacque Craig, Rachel Yurkanin and myself) blog this week we are giving up some really cute Easter projects. I made a small basket, here is a picture of my project--

I made it from the BigShot 2 Tags die. It was one of the 3 projects we did last Wednesday at the Mother Daughter Madness Class, the girls loved it. It would be super cute as Easter table decorations don't you think?  The idea for the box came from Lisa Curcio, and the bird punch/chick idea came from Liz Keehn --thanks ladies!

Well, it's time to say good-bye and Thank-you. Next week is my pick and the Sisters have some fun things to show you so, make sure you come back to check it out.

Happy Stamping,
Karla c(:
