This set also coordinates with the Apple Builder Punch (pg.167, #150663, $18.00). I've blinged up my pumpkin with some rhinestones.

Halloween Treat

The weeks are just flying by! Halloween is right around the corner and the Sisters in Stamping are showing off some quick treats. Here is my project for today--

I used the cute little coffin shaped paper treat boxes (pg 53, #150451, $7.00/12 boxes) in the Holiday Mini. The little tag comes from the set Tags, Tags, Tags (pg 56, #150508, $21.00) and comes with a matching set of dies to make it quick and easy to make lots of tags fast.

Come back next week for a fun moving card!
Until then, happy stamping!

Halloween Spooky Hand

Well hey there! It's Debbie's turn to pick this weeks theme for the Sisters in Stamping blog her pick was Halloween Treats. Here is my project--

We did these candy hands at the last Mother Daughter Class (FAF), they were a big hit! I purchased the gloves at a big box store, they are vinyl (not latex) just in case any of my friends have allergies and I don't know of them. I filled the fingers with a roll of smarties and then the palm with tootsie rolls, gum and jaw breakers, all wrapped.

Here is a close up of the tag. I used the single Halloween stamp from the Holiday Mini called Halloween Treat. Had the girls stamp it 2 times and then paper piece the line of pumpkins and the 2 spiders.

As always we will be back next week with some more fun things to show you! Thanks!

Happy Stamping!

Halloween Candy Friday

It feels odd thinking about Halloween so early doesn't it? But, the reason why the Sisters in Stamping are posting Halloween and Fall projects this week for Fabulous Friday is because the Stampin' Up!'s 2016 Holiday Mini Catalog will be debuting soon!!! Here is my Sneak Peek--

I pre-ordered a single stamp called Halloween Treat. I used a technique called Reverse Spotlighting. Fun, quick & easy!

Thank-you for stopping by! Karla c(:

The back says:
I started to carve my pumpkin with my knife and my scoop....
But my pumpkin got so scared, he took a little poop!

Just Treats, no Tricks! Happy stamping, Karla c(:

Here is my card for this week's post--

The set is called Sparkly Seasons, it's a set of 15 and includes a snow globe with a base, Christmas ornament, the Jack-o-Lantern face that I used on my card-- and more!
Very versatile, just my kinda set.

Friday Fall Decor

Welcome to this Fabulous Friday post, coming to you courtesy of the Sisters in Stamping blog. Rachel is up this week and she has challenged us to make some Fall & Halloween Decor for you. Here is my project for this week--

I started my little paper broom with Stampin' Up!'s petal cone die. The broom base is in More Mustard. I made a broom handle with the new Cord'nations card stock and the Wood Grain embossing folder, attaching it to the cone by snipping a hole in the top and gluing the handle down into the cone.

Here is a closer look at the leaf decor--
To make the broom part I cut strips of More Mustard card stock and curled them with a bone folder. This project is time consuming and a little tedious--but it turned out so cute, I think it was worth it!

Thank-you for coming by today! See you next week.

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Spooky Spider for Sisters in Stamping Post

Hello- Friday once again! It's Debbie's week for the Fabulous Friday theme, here is my 3D Halloween Candy item for the Sisters in Stamping post.

This is called a 2/4/6/8 box. It's a 1/2 sheet of 8 1/2x 11 cardstock (5 1/2x 8 1/2) scored at 2", 4", 6" and 8". Then again along the long side at 1 1/2". Fold it up use some glue to put it together, cut a few notches in the side--there you go! I used the Stampin' Up! Spider Web embossing folder on it before I glued it together and the cute little spider comes for the Stampin' Up! set called Tricky Treats. Last but not least, the spider has some of the new Googlie Eyes from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm traveling to Wisconsin this week-end and this will be my 3D trade for my Meeting on Saturday.

Thanks for looking!

Fabulous Frankie Friday

Thank-you for coming back this week, the Sisters in Stamping (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) have some Halloween Candy Treats to show you! Here is mine--

His name is Frankie! I told my husband he was the perfect man-- his mouth is sewn shut! I traded this cute candy treat at my Heartisan Downline Meeting a couple of weeks ago. I had a 6x6 page that I traded with him, his punch key. Here is a picture of it--

I used the Pounce Technique on the Scary & Sweet, I inked the stamp in black and stamped it 6-7 times in the same spot to make it look really spooky. I used the Texture jumbo wheel on the top in Always Artichoke ink. The card stock is stapled on top of the small cello bag filled with candy (the staple is under Frankie's head) and then I used dimensionals to pop the punch art up so that it covered the staple.

Next week we are going to feature some Christmas-y stuff, hope you can stop back by and check us out!

Happy Stamping!

Halloween Cards for Friday

The Sisters are making Halloween Cards this week! Here is my card--

Cute color combination Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzaz and a new InColor Wisteria Wonder. I used a new Hostess set from the Holiday Mini catalog called Warmest Wishes and a new jumbo wheel, Halloween Hang-Ups. I finally ordered a new product called Dazzling Details (think Dazzling Diamonds glitter mixed with a clear glue). Here are a few pictures of the card close-up so you can see how sparkly it is!

Just love that little owl! I made the mask bigger and dressed it up with a little glitter. The Hostess program has changed at Stampin' Up! Please feel free to contact me for more details or a copy of the Holiday Mini catalog for your own.

Just a reminder-- we are still looking for comments over at the Sisters in Stamping blog (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com). All comments will be placed in a drawing for some free blog candy. So get on over and comment away!

Thank-you for stopping today!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Acetate From the Crypt

We did this card at the last 10 Who Stamp Club Meeting:

This technique is called Acetate & Tissue. Last time I taught this technique (years ago) it was a mess!! One of my Downline, Rachel Durtschi taught it recently and came up with a cleaner much easier way. Stamp the skull with Stazon on the Window Sheet, turn it over and use a sponge dauber to color in the skull with platinum shimmer paint (in the new SU! Holiday Mini Catalog). Place a large bead of Crystal Effects around outside edge of skull and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamond Glitter. Crumple a piece of tissue paper and lay it into the Crystal Effects. Use reinkers to color the tissue paper--careful you only need a few drops!

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp sets: From the Crypt (pg.21, IB&C 2009-10), Holiday Best (pg.13, IB&C 2009-10). ~~Accessories: Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals, Medium Window Sheets, Platinum Shimmer paint, Sponge Dauber. ~~Paper: Lovely Lilac, Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White card stock, Groom Specialty Paper. ~~Ink: Black Stazon, Almost Amethyst reinker, Apricot Appeal reinker, Green Galore reinker.

Happy Halloween!

Until next time, Karla c(:

September Stamp-a-Whole-Lotta-Cards

Here are the cards we did at last months SWLC, card one:

This card uses the technique Poppin Pastels. Stamp the Turkey with versamark ink and use the sponge applicators to draw the pastel to color the image. The versamark ink picks up the pastel--it's like magic!

SU! Supplies used--
Stamp Sets: Gobble, Gobble (pg.31, Holiday Mini Catalog), Grateful Greetings (pg.12 Holiday Mini Catalog). ~~Accessories: Deminsionals, Stampin' Pastels, 1 1/4" Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, Basic Black marker. ~~Paper: Close to Cocoa, Pumpkin Pie, Bravo Burgundy, Very Vanilla. ~~Ink: Versamark, Classic Basic Black.

Card two:

I know---here is that cute little bear AGAIN! I told you I was just crazy about him...this card is made with the same color scheme as my altered tissue box that I made for the Sisters challenge: http://stampinwithk.blogspot.com/2009/09/meet-sistahs.html

I used the same technique I demonstrated on stage at the SU! Minneapolis Regional (April 2009). Brayer Close to Cocoa ink onto the flat side of the Embosslit, sandwich Creamy Caramel card stock in it and run it through the Big Shot.

SU! Supplies used--
Stamp Sets: Seal of Pawthenticity (pg.36, Holiday Mini Catalog), On Your Birthday (pg.139 IB&C 2009-10), Jumbo Wheel Cornelli Lace (pg.64 IB&C 2009-10). ~~Accessories: Deminsionals, BigShot, Oval die, Lil' Paws embosslit, googly eyes, Tombow glue, wide oval punch, 1/4" Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Jumbo Stampin' Around Handle, Stamping Sponge, mini glue dot. ~~Paper: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel. ~~Ink: Classic Close to Cocoa, Jumbo Certainly Celery ink cartridge.

Card three:

To make this card I tore a piece of card stock and use a Stampin Sponge and the Classic Brocade Blue ink pad to make the clouds in the sky. The balloon was stamped on scrap card stock and cut, attached with snail adhesive.

SU! Supplies used--
Stamp Sets: Sweet Centers (pg.6, Holiday Mini Catalog). ~~Accessories: 5/8" Brocade Blue grosgrain ribbon, Pink Passion Stampin' Write Marker, Stamping Sponges. ~~Paper: Brocade Blue, Whisper White. ~~Ink: Classic Brocade Blue, Classic Close to Cocoa, Classic Pixie Pink.

Card four:

Love the color combo on this card, a very elegant and easy to make thank-you card.

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp Sets: Charming (pg.32, Holiday Mini Catalog), Thank-you Kindly (pg.145, IB&C 2009-10). ~~Accessories: Scallop punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Deminsionals. ~~Paper: Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, Barely Banana. ~~Ink: Classic Bordering Blue.

Card five:

This Halloween card uses a fun technique with vellum-- I wheeled Haunting Hill on the paper vellum with Basic Black ink then turned it over and colored the image in with markers. Quick and fun!

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp Sets: Haunting Hill Jumbo wheel (pg.10, Holiday Mini Catalog), Holiday Blitz (pg.44, IB&C 2009-10), Grateful Greetings (pg.8, Holiday Mini Catalog). ~~Accessories: Yo-yo Yellow marker, Really Rust marker, Creamy Caramel marker, Going Gray marker, Close to Cocoa marker, Pumpkin Pie marker, Bordering Blue marker, Garden Green marker, Lovely Lilac marker, 1/2" Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, Jumbo Stampin' Around Handle. ~~Paper: Going Gray, paper vellum, Basic Black. ~~Ink: Classic Basic Black, Jumbo Basic Black ink cartridge.

Fab Friday---week 5, Goblin Greetings!

This week we are focusing on the Big Shot Pop-up dies. Here is a picture of the front of my card:

The belly band slips off and the card opens to this:

I switched the 2 of the cake layers (the medium sized layer is on the bottom) so that the Jack-o-Lantern would look more rounded.

Accessories: Big Shot Pop-up Cake die, Sizzlit Little Leaves die, sticky strip, mini glue dots, jumbo wheel.
