My card is a Sale-A-Bration 2fer-- I used the cute, cute, cute, set called Driving By (#158099) and the 6x6 Designer Series Paper pack called Sunshine & Rainbows (#158126) for a very GROOVY card. Colored in with Stampin' Blends markers and paper pieced the Van. Also, I used the markers to color the Rhinestone Jewels (#144220, $5.00) for some matching bling!

Back to School

Hello! When I was younger I hated the saying "Back to School" -- now a days I'm loving that phrase because it means "get back to normal" and I'm all for that!!! School started here in South Dakota last Monday, they start earlier here because we generally have lots of snow days through the winter. That way they don't have to make up for lost days at the end of the school year. Here is my card for this week's Sisters in Stamping theme--

I used a new stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Mini, that will be released Sept 1st. It's called Harvest Hello's and it has a matching punch bundled with it.

Thank-you for coming by, see you next week for some more new Holiday Mini previews!
Happy Stamping, Karla 😊

The Fancy Fold I used is a Cross Fold, here is a link to the Sketch I used. I used some Paper Piecing on the gift on the front, stamped on the New Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (#148554, $11.00). Lastly I used the Flirty Flamingo ribbon from the All My Love ribbon combo pack (#148584, $9.00). This color Combination is so bright and cheery, I just love it!

Just a POP of Color

It's Rachel's turn over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and she picked Black and White with a pop of color. I've been having a hard time coming up with something...that's one of the reasons why my post is late! Here is the card I finally came up with--

I like it!! My pop of color is Daffodil Delight and it's on the simple side. One would think the card was going to be extra fancy considering how long it took me to come up with it. This stamp set is one of the 2015 SAB free sets, it's called You Brighten My Day.

This is the other reason my post is late--

This is my little Rudy, and he hasn't been feeling well, I think he has a cold. He likes to come and sit right in the middle of what I'm working on at my desk. How can I say, " no, I won't hold you" to that cute little face?

Thank-you for coming by today-- happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Washi Friday & Storage Ideas

We have Washi Tape ideas for this week's Fabulous Friday post over at the Sisters in Stamping blog. We have all posted storage ideas on our blogs too, so you'll have to stop by and check them out. Here is my card for this week--

I put 3 rows of washi tape on a white scrap of paper, cut it out and then paper pieced it in for the sleeve on my "to go" cup. Here is a close up picture of it.

This is how I've been storing my washi tape. It is a glass straw holder that I purchased at the box store. Jury is still out on the idea, I'll have to let you know how the trial run goes.

Thank-you as always for coming by today!

Christmas cards in July??

This is our last week of the 2012-13 Idea Book & Catalog over at the Sisters in Stamping. I used one of the new Christmas stamp sets called Chock-Full of Cheer. Here is my card--

I used Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Gumball Green, pulling the colors from the Designer Series Paper that I picked, Be of Good Cheer. The candy cane was stamped off and then Merry Christmas layered over the top with Cherry Cobbler. I paper pieced the mitten, stamping it 2 times and then cutting pieces of it to make it 2 toned. There is Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the candy cane and the stars on the mitten. I'm participating in the Freshly Made Sketches (FMS44) again this week.

Stop on by at the Sisters in Stamping blog to see the other cards posted for this week.

Stay cool my Friend. Happy Stamping!

New Bigshot dies from the Mini catalog!

Hello and thanks for stopping this week! The Sisters (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com) are featuring some of the new BigShot dies from the Holiday Mini catalog this week. Here is my card--

I used the new die called Stocking Accents (pg.24, #124099) It is a BigzL die so it will cut thru fabric and felt (plus others things!) Besides the candy cane and the holly accents there is an ornament, a Christmas tree and a Christmas light bulb on the die. I know it's a little early to be thinking about Christmas...just to even it out I'm posting a picture of my cat Rudy sitting in the warm Summer sun coming thru my kitchen window. Isn't he the cutest??

Thanks again for stopping by here at Stampin' with "K", have a great Labor Day week-end!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

PS. Make sure you check out the Sisters site (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com), there is a big announcement!

Holiday Mini Sneak Peek

The Sisters (http://Sistersinstamping.blogspot.com) a giving a small Sneak Peek this week at the NEW Holiday Mini catalog...I say small because there are SO MANY wonderful stamp sets in it the Peek has to be small, there is just no way we could feature all of them. But, not to fear we will be featuring quite a few sets in the next couple of weeks so make sure you stop back by. Here is my card for this week--

It seems too early to be making Fall themed cards doesn't it?? This stamp set is called Gently Falling and it's comprised of 2 sets of images, the outside of the leaf and the inside, I only used the outside of the leaf to make this card. It is quite lovely...there is a Maple leaf and a little whirligig to go with it, an Oak leaf with an acorn, a Ash leaf and a Elm leaf (these last two I'm not sure about, I was never good at that kinda thing). I used 2 techniques to make this card Paper Piecing (on the little acorn) and Burnishing. Also, I used the new quilted ribbon from the Holiday Mini-- I love it, I hope it gets carried through to the next catalog!

Happy Stamping!

Happy Easter!

We had planned to take this week off over at the Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/).... but then we started thinking "wait a minute, this is the last week to purchase products from the Occasions Mini Catalog!" We had to post something...so, here you go a surprise post from all of the Sisters. Here is my card--

This is a card for all of my Downline who helped with our Quarterly Meeting April 9th. I was inspired by this super cute card by Sharon Burkert (http://www.sharonburkert.com/as_the_ink_dries/2011/03/sew-suite-polka-dot-thread.html). I used the jumbo wheel In Stitches across the top, I like the way the swirly stitch runs across the top of the panel with the bobbins. This technique is called paper piecing and it is fun, but can be a little tedious with all of the cutting.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a relaxing week-end celebrating Easter!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:
