Friday, a Day Late!

We are showing a moving card this week on the Sisters in Stamping Blog, it's called a Slider Card. Here is my card for this week--

 This picture shows it closed.

Here is open (the slider part is from the top) the reindeer and the scalloped circle move.  I watched a video on how to put it together.

Make sure you check out the other Slider Cards over at the Sisters in Stamping blog, and come back next week for National Cappuccino Day!

Thank-you for stopping by! Karla 😃

Welcome Holiday Mini!

You know Fall is right around the corner when the Holiday Mini shows up in your mailbox! As a Demonstrator I was able to purchase stamp sets and products ahead of time, one of best tings about being a Demonstrator I think 😍 Some really fun sets, Halloween, Thanksgiving and especially Christmas! Here is my card for this week's Sisters in Stamping post today--

This set is called Christmas Crowd, here it is closed. Super super cute!! I colored it with Stampin Blends. But this is the fun part when you open it up....

It pops up with a merry little hello! It's called a Modified Wiper Card, click here for instructions on how to make your own.

Well that's all I have for today, but make sure you come back next week the Sisters have a really really big announcement and you won't want to miss it!!
Until then, Happy Stampin' Karla 😀

Moving Cards from the Sisters in Stamping

It's my week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and I picked Moving Cards for our assignment. Moving cards are always a favorite of mine and this one is the best! I have heard this card called a Secret Message Card, but I can't find any tutorials on it....so, I must have the name wrong. If you know the correct name of this moving card leave me a note, thanks! (Update 5/10/2013: Thank-you Prisha for the link to a tutorial...see the comments below.)

Here is the front of my card, the base is white 8 1/2x 5 1/2. Two panels make the front More Mustard 5 1/4 x 4 and So Saffron 5x 3 3/4, I ran that piece through the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

This is the inside of my card. I made two slits (side to side) 2" from the top and 2" with from the bottom using my new paper cutter. I wove 2 strips of So Saffron (2 pieces, 2 x 5 1/2) between the slits

Fold those two panels into the inside of the card....

...and, you will find the secret panels that you can write your message in. I stamped some bees and left my Secret Message on a punched circle.

Here is the Secret Panel Card completely opened. This card is best given in person so you can show the recipient how to retrieve their message!

Happy Stamping, Karla c(:

Framelit Friday!

Good day and welcome to this week's Fabulous Friday post! The Sisters (http://SistersinStamping.blogspot.com) are focusing on the NEW Framelits that are in the 2012 Occasions Mini Catalog. Here is my card--

It's all closed up in the picture above. Here is a picture of it opened to the first message--

And, below it's all the way open--

I have had this idea in my head for a long time, and just needed to take the time to sit down and put it together. Sometimes when they are in your head they look really great when they get out...sometimes not so much! I was lucky this time I think it turned out really cute. It's a moving card called a Telescoping Card. I have seen them made with circles on other sites but never with hearts.

Thank-you for stopping by again today, Happy Friday!
