Fabulous BigShot for Friday

Today for the Fabulous Friday post at Sisters in Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blog.spot.com/) the four of us are posting for your perusal cards and projects made with the awesomely awesome BigShot. Here is my project:

It's a box with a cute little belly band with flower attached. The flower was made with the die Flower Folds #115970. I used one of the pink corduroy buttons from the Occasions Mini catalog (only a couple more weeks for that catalog left). I opened up the box to take a picture:

Here is what's inside--there is a bath fizzy and I used the Flower Folds die to cut compressed sponge. I ordered it from the Internet (e-mail me and I'll give you the web site).

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp sets: With All My Heart (pg.12, Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Pretty in Pink corduroy buttons, BigShot, Flower Folds die, Bermuda Bay marker, Melon Mambo marker, mat pack, paper piercing tool. Paper: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery. Ink: Bermuda Bay

This was one of the projects we taught at the BigShot Class. We will be repeating this class in Janesville, if you are interested in attending e-mail me and I'll send you the information. See you next week, Karla c(:

Downline Darlene Crockett--it inspired my card for this Sisters in Stamping Fabulous Friday Challenge. Thanks Darlene! Tess Fabulous Friday

This weeks focus at Sisters In Stamping (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) is on the stamp set Tote-ally Tess. This set is perfect for the avid stamper! Here is my sample-

I used the matchbox die using Kraft and Basic Black card stock. I used some of the stamps from the set (the stamp, marker, roller wheel, scissors) stamping them randomly on the Kraft card stock. I saw the original idea on Jacque Craig's blog, one of her Downline Jane, made them for a swap ( http://stampinwithjacque.com/pacific-stampers-group-meeting-10-2-09) Here is a picture of it part way opened--

I cut window sheets into strips and used glue dots to attach it into the bottom of the box. When you open the box the label (cut from the die) pops up, here is a picture of the matchbox from behind--

And lastly a picture of the matchbox from the front--

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp sets: Tote-ally Tess (pg.41, Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Real Red and Basic Black markers, metal edged circle tag, 1 1/4" circle punch, oval punch, BigShot, Matchbox die, Clearly Thanks printed window sheets, mini glue dots, Real Red Polka-dot ribbon. Paper: Kraft, Basic Black, Whisper White. Ink: Basic Black.

Make sure you go check out what the others are up to! (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/). Next week the Sisters will be focusing on 2-step stamping...until then, Happy Stamping!

Paper: Rose Red Designer Series Paper, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White. Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red.

Card four:

I "stamp-lifted" this idea from my good friend Dawn Rapsas' blog. (Which reminds me --UStamp opens this week---it's not too late to join us, just click on the Spring Soiree blinkie in the left column. OK, the mini commercial is over c(: back to the card!) I loved the simplicity of Dawn's card, I added the polka-dot ribbon to mimic the new polka-dot folder she used on the punched hearts and changed the color to Melon Mambo.
SU! Supplies used--
Stamp sets: Whimsical Words (pg.8, SAB Mini Catalog). Accessories: Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon, 3-Heart punch, BigShot, polka-dot folder. Paper: Melon Mambo, Whisper White. Ink: Basic Black.

Card five:
I copied this card just as I received it from Karen Clark, one of my talented SU! Downline.

Sometimes when I'm in a pinch I raid my WOW file for ideas....this card class was one of those times. Well, that's it for this post. The Stamp-A-Whole-Lotta Cards schedule is under the calendar off to the left, click on it for more info. A little different next month-- there will be no Saturday Class, I will be in Milwaukee at the Stampin' Up! Regional.

The next post will be Friday, the Sisters are using Fox & Friends for the Fabulous Friday post--make sure you come back to check it out.

Until then, Karla c(:

Vogue Friday

Seems like every card and project that I put together lately uses some shade of yellow, and let me tell you I'm not fond of yellow! I think it's my least favorite color---now if we were talkin' red, that would be another story. I mention it is because my project for the Fabulous Friday Sisters in Stamping post (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) is yellow of all colors, I must be really looking forward to Spring!

Here is a close-up of the flower:

I inked up the large flower with Apricot Appeal ink and then rimmed the edges of the petals with the Cameo Coral marker, huffed and then stamped. That's how I got that 2 toned image. Here are the supplies I used to make this card--
Stamp Sets: Vintage Vogue (Occasions Mini Catalog, pg.26). Accessories: gold brads, mat pack, piercing tool, Apricot Appeal 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, Cameo Coral marker. Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Barely Banana, Cameo Coral. Ink: Barely Banana, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery, Basic Black.

Thanks for stopping by make sure you check out what the other Sisters are doing!http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/ Come back next week for projects made with Fox & Friends, Karla c(:

Eggcoutrement Friday Sisters in Stamping

Today is Friday and that means another Fabulous Friday over at the Sisters In Stamping blog (http://sistersinstamping.blogspot.com/) .....here is what I've done:

I used one of the Glassine bags from the Occasions Mini Catalog and I made it into a bag-a-lope. Gently score it 1/2" along both sides and bottom to form the bag. There is a little bling on the basket, on the tag, I used the rhinestones from the egg kit. Love the new Satin Ribbon for that little added touch. It is filled with chocolate Easter eggs.

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp Sets: Eggcoutrements (pg. 22, Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon, Glassine bags, Eggcellent Eggs Kit, basic black marker, dimensionals, crop-a-dile, tag punch, 1" circle punch. Paper: whisper white. Ink: Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery.

With All My Heart Fabulous Friday....

....just in time for Valentine's Day! Here is my post for the Fabulous Friday (http://SistersInStamping.blogspot.com) challenge--

This a fun technique using post-it notes and a brayer. To do this technique you need three colors of ink that go well together, 3 different sizes of post-its (I used a heart shaped post-it and 2 sizes of square post-its). Start with brayering the darkest color first, take a layer of post-its off. Then the medium color, etc.... Then I stamped over the design that the brayer/post-its made. E-mail me if you need more details.

Here are the SU! Supplies I used--

Stamp sets: With All My Heart (pg.12, Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Rich Razzleberry marker, Scallop Oval punch, Rich Razzleberry polka-dot ribbon, dimensionals, brayer. Paper: Glossy White, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White. Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink.

I've been wanting to try this technique for a long time I'm glad I tried it out! We will see you next week,

Karla c(:

Punching Perfect Fabulous Friday

It is Friday again...can you believe Valentines Day is next week! This year is just flying by. We are spotlighting the new punches on the Sisters in Stamping (http://SistersInStamping.blogspot.com) blog today, here is my card:

My Wedding Anniversary is next week and I need to make a card that I could give to my husband (read, not too "girlie"). I've been wanting to use the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper for along time. I opened the pack as soon as it arrived in August and then couldn't bring myself to cut into any of the sheets because they were so beautiful! This piece of paper looked like a lovely whimsical tree to me, something you might see birds building a nest in in the Spring. I used two of the new punches, the Extra Large 2-Step Bird punch and the Medium Jewelry Tag punch. I blingified it with the new Eggcellent Egg Kit (which I just love, love, love). I hope this kit makes it into the catalog!!!! When I was making this card I placed the adhesive backed rhinestones on the birds for eyes....they looked like they were demon possessed! So I peeled them off and placed them back on the plastic sheet and took the black Stazon pad to them to darken them up, worked great! The Kit also comes with white rub-ons, I used them in the background and on the wings of the birds. Here are the other SU! supplies that I used--

Stamp Sets: Tint Tags (#118592, pg.28 Occasions Mini Catalog). Accessories: Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch (#117191, pg.11 Occasions Mini Catalog), Medium Jewelry Tag punch (#117190, pg.11 Occasions Mini Catalog), Eggcellent Eggs Kit (#117179, pg.23 Occasions Mini Catalog), 1/4" Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon, 1/16" handheld punch, Stampin' Sponges. Paper: Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (#115680, pg.161 IB&C), Pretty in Pink, Ballet Blue, Shimmer White. Ink: Pixie Pink, Black Stazon.

E-mail me if you'd like a Occasions Mini Catalog. See you next week!

A little Something Sweet

It's Friday again and here is my post for this week's challenge! http://SistersInStamping.blogspot.com
I used Something Sweet , here is the front of my card--

This is a picture of the inside--

This card is waaaaaay more difficult than last week's Valentine Conversation Heart box!! I made some grass with card stock using the faux suede technique, and used the Jig to make sure everything lined up inside with the Magnifying Glass on the front. When I finished it looked like I had every crafty thing I owned out on my desk. Here are all of the things I needed to make this card... SU! Supplies--

Stamp Sets: Something Sweet (pg.20, Occasions Mini Catalog), Inspired by Nature (pg.96, 2009-10 IB&C), Bugs & Kisses (pg.88, 2009-10 IB&C). Accessories: Stamp-Jig, medium window sheets, Stampin' Write Journaler, paper cutter, paper snips, old olive striped grosgrain ribbon, mini glue dots, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, melon mambo marker. Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Old Olive. Ink: Old Olive, Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip.

Hope you have a great week-end! It's pretty cold here in Madison (-2 when I took m son to school this morning)--we will be just tryin' to stay warm. Until next time,

Karla c(:

I loved the color combination--thanks Stacey for the cute, cute trade!

I {heart} Hearts!!

I came home from SU! Leadership in Phoenix (it was lovely there) and apparently I didn't set this post up right when I left so it didn't go live! Which just proves that I really don't know what I'm doing here in the cyber world. Here it is, a few days late.....

You can see by the name of my blog that I REALLY do {heart} Hearts--I'm crazy for them! At my house I decorate with a lot of hearts, I try to hide them in plain sight. So having this stamp set as the focus for the Fabulous Friday post (http://SistersInStamping.blogspot.com) was a fun challenge. Really fun to put together!

SU! Supplies used--

Stamp sets: I {heart} Hearts (pg. ,Occasions Mini Catalog), Define Your Life (pg.150, IB&C 2009-10). Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Full Heart punch, dimensionals, 2-way glue pen, dazzling diamonds glitter, Pretty in Pink satin ribbon. Paper: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa. Ink: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip.
