Gift Giving

Hello and welcome! We are giving gifts at the Sisters in Stamping blog... here is my gift for today's post--

I took the canister above and covered it with Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper (#161958, $12.50). Tied a bow around it with some White Iridescent Ribbon (#161955, $9.00), 

and made a tag using set Christmas Classics (#161970, $21.00). 

 Note in the picture above, I used the red Iridescent Discs (#161954, $7.00) to fill in for the holly berries. Yes, I did fill it with Peanut Blossoms they are a Christmas Cookie tradition! Here is the recipe so you can make some for yourself!

Peanut Blossoms

1 3/4c. flour

1 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1c. sugar

1c. brown sugar

1/2c. butter

1/2c. peanut butter

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

Chocolate Kisses, unwrapped

extra sugar to roll cookies in

    Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add sugar and brown sugar, mix well and set aside. In mixing bowl cream together butter and peanut butter. Add egg, vanilla blend well. Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape into 1" balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8min. Remove from oven and place a chocolate kiss in the middle of each cookie. Return to oven and bake additional 2-5 min longer until edges crackle.

Quick Wintery Christmas

Hello! Christmas is right around the corner and the Sisters are featuring some Quick Christmas Cards for this Sunday Fun Day! Here is my card--

I used the white sheet from the DSP Snowflake Magic, it looks like it is splattered with silver ink-- very pretty and shiny! I brought silver back into the design with some silver Elegant Trim (#155766, $7.50). Here is a list of what else I used to make this card: Stamp set Graceful Deer (#162084, $25.00), Snowflake Magic DSP 12x12 (#162147, $10.00), saying is from Christmas Classics (#161970, $21.00).

Shimmery Snowflakes for Sunday

Hello friends! The Sisters in Stamping are doing Monochromatic today. Here is my card--

The stamp set I used is called Season of Chic (#158810, $27.00) and the Chic dies that match (#158815, $37.00). I painted my die cut snowflakes with a Wink of Stella pen just to give them a little shimmer.

Sunday Thanks

Hey! Welcome back. The Sisters in Stamping are showing off some Thank-you cards today, here is my card--

This stamp set is called Birds Eye View (#161436, $20.00) and it is ADORABLE! Here are the images that are included in the set:

The "thanks" is from Biggest Wish (#155052, $17.00) this set is a staple and I've used it many times! I used Stampin' Blends to color my little bird and leaves, stamping some of the leaves on scrap card stock coloring them, cutting them out and making them "fall" -- I think this card turned out super cute!

DSP Strips Sunday

Color Combo

Hello! The Sisters in Stamping are putting projects together using a pretty sweet Color Challenge. Here is my card--

Our color combo for this week: Old Olive, Pretty Peacock & Copper Clay. I used the Old Olive ink pad to color in the leaves and then went in again with Pretty Peacock, see below--

Technique: Fractured

 Hello! It's another Sunday Fun Day and the Sisters in Stamping are sporting a new Technique called Fractured. Here is my card--

I used a new Fall set from the Mini Catalog called Pick of the Patch (#162196, $21.00) it has a matching punch too. I love the Navy sparkley ribbon (also in the Mini).

Summer Season of Chic

 I was thinking that I may have to sit this week out.... the theme this week over at the Sisters in Stamping is Summer Fun! I had forgotten that I have the set Season of Chic which has seashells in it, one of the reasons I purchased it! Here is my card--

Blast from Past

 Hello! The Sisters in Stamping are picking a "fav" and redoing it. Here is my card for today--

I used a new set Darling Details (#161371, $54.00). I like the font that was used for this set and the variety of  images. The original post was done back in August of 202, here is a picture: 

I used the same color combination for the new updated card but I did make another change by turning it horizontal.

Darling Details

 The favorite that I used is called Darling Details (#161371, $54.00), the bundle (a stamp set and matching dies) are given a discount when purchased together! You gotta love that 😀

Fancy Folding

Hello! I'm back after a couple of weeks off with a fun Fancy Fold card, check it out--

This picture was taken of the card laying flat, I had to pin it down with my finger so it wouldn't pop up. 

 

Here is my Fancy Fold card open, and you can see it unfolds from the left and from the right.

The stamp set I used is called Hope & Prayer (#159009, $19.00). I really like the font that SU! used with this set-- so unique!

Spring CASE

Hello! Thank-you for coming by today. 😀 Over at the Sisters in Stamping we are CASE'ing the Spring Mini Catalog, here is my card--

 As soon as I saw this card I thought to myself I have got to case it! I used the stamp set call Framed Florets (#161815, $23.00).

Designer Series Paper Show

Welcome! This week at the Sisters in Stamping is Designer Series Paper Sunday Fun Day. Here is my card--

I used the Beautiful Shapes Dies (#158046, $29.00) to cut my 3 hexagons out of Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper Dainty Flowers (free with purchase of $50 merchandise). The thank-you greeting is from the matching stamp set called Hello Beautiful (#158041, $18.00). The 4 inch piece of Metallic Mesh ribbon is tied with a piece of Linen Thread and attached with a glue dot on the back of the greeting.
