Fabulous New Stamping Stuff

The Sisters in Stamping blog is showcasing some new products from the 2013-14 Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my project for this week--

 

I pre-ordered the Label Bracket punch and stamp set Tags for You (pg.37), they are bundled together in the catalog for a 15% savings, gotta love that! I used one of the new InColors called Crisp Cantaloupe to make the box and the tag, and the black paper ribbon was made using the new Chevron Border Punch (pg.23, #132154). My little box is filled with black jelly beans-- YUMMY!

Clay for Fabulous Friday

I'm stuck at home while the other Sisters in Stamping are playing in Salt Lake City. They are attending Stampin' Up!s Convention this week, but they thought ahead and have Simply Pressed Clay projects for this week's post. Head on over to the Sisters blog to see some more ideas for this great new product. Here is my project for this week--

 

I rolled out a bit of the clay into a rectangle and pressed one of the stamps from Simply Sketched into the wet clay (I inked it up in Black Stazon first). When it was dry I sponged Sahara Sand ink along the edges. I colored the edges of the flower with a Wisteria Wonder marker, and then used a Aquapainter to move the color into the center of the flower. The stems were colored with a Wild Wasabi marker. There is a magnet glued on the back.

Here is a picture of it on my frig. The clay was super easy to work with, I'll be making more to give away.

Fabulous BigShot Friday

It's Friday and that means it's time for another Fabulous Friday post, this week's focus are NEW BigShot Accessories from the Brand NEW 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog. Here is my card for this week--

 

The BigShot Accessory that I used for this week's challenge was my new set of Chalk Talk framelits. I used some other new stuff...the background is the new This & That Washi Tape, a Calypso Coral Candy Dot and one of the Hostess Stamp sets called Simply Sketched.

Welcome Stampin' Up! 2013-14 New InColors

It is my week over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and the focus this week are the NEW 2013-14 InColors. Here is my card--

 

Is is just me, or do these colors just scream Miami Vice to you too?? Either way you'll have to admit they are very retro! To construct my card I used a base piece of Whisper White to adhere my strips of card stock to and then used dimensionals to stick it to the base. I wanted to keep it real clean and simple and let the new Incolors be the main focal point of the card.
