To Sale-A-Brate that is!! Stampin' Up! gave all of the Demonstrators a chance to pre-order some new goodies. Here is my project for this week--
I used the super cute set called See Ya Later as soon as I saw it I had to have it! When I trimmed it I cut the little sun and cloud off of the top, it makes it so much more versatile. The Designer Series Paper, Sweet Sorbet and the Twine, Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack are also FREE Sale-A-Bration items too. So fun and Spring-y.
Thank-you for stopping by! The Sisters in Stamping are taking next week off so I'll see you again next year.
Happy Stamping! Karla c(:
PS. Have a great Christmas.

Need Some Last Minute Gift Ideas?
If so, you are in the right place this week! At the Sisters in Stamping blog we have put our heads together and come up with some really great (and more importantly quick) ideas. Here is my project for this week--
It is a gift box with a 1/2 pint of season salt inside. Here is another picture--
I purchased the jars in a flat of 12 from a big box store. Cut a circle with a framelit from the New Circles Collection using the Designer Series Paper Stack from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I found the recipe for the Salt on Pintrest:
Homemade Season Salt
1/2 c. Kosher salt
2 t. Smoked Paprika
1 t. Onion powder
1 T. Pepper
2 t. Garlic powder
1/8 t. Ground red pepper
Mix all ingredients together. Makes ½ pint jar.
I multiplied the recipe by 8 and it filled all 12 of my little jars. They are the cutest!!
Well, that's it for me this week. The other Sisters have some more ideas-- go check it out!

BigShot Friday
On the Sisters in Stamping blog this week we are sharing Christmas cards that use the BigShot. Here is my card for this week--
I used the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder for my background design and the Top Note die made my Elf Shoes. Actually the Top Note makes 2 pairs of shoes, nice if you are making multiples. The socks are Designer Series Paper from the Winter Frost Paper Stack, and I had to add a little "bling" -- the pom-poms are Silver Glimmer Paper and the laces are Silver 1/8" Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Way too cute!
Have a great day and make sure you come back next week the Sisters will have some small gift ideas for you. Happy Stamping! Karla c(:

Setting the Thanksgiving Table
The Sisters in Stamping blog is featuring Thanksgiving favors this week. Here is my project--
I used the new Envelope Punch Board (#133774, $19.95) and the Tags 4 You Bundle (pg.37 of the Holiday Mini catalog) to create my favor. I cut the leaves with the Autumn Accents Bigz die (pg.192 IB&C, #113468, $21.95) and used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (pg. 191 IB&C, #117335, $7.95) to give them some texture. It opens up--
I attached a pouch of Spiced Cider with some sticky strip. My pouch measured out to 3 1/2x 4 1/4 and I used the Punch Board to do the rest-- it was awesome! All of the guess work, measuring and scoring taken care of, you've gotta love that. I CASED the idea kinda, from Julie Davison, here is a link to her blog post. There are more Thanksgiving favor ideas over at the Sisters in Stamping blog, so go take a look!

Christmas Ornaments
I picked Christmas Ornaments for this week's Sisters in Stamping post. Here is a picture of my Christmas Ornament--
We don't have our tree up yet....I'm bound and determined to get all of the Christmas Decor up this year over the Thanksgiving week-end! Seems like the last couple of years it's taken me forever to get it up and then it seems like I turn right around and have to take it down-- does that happen to you too?
Well, my Ornament Santa is pullin' double duty this year! This is a Decorative Window Gift Box (pg.36, #132146, $4.96/6 boxes)-- I punched a hole in the side where the flap goes in, folded the box up, filled it with Kisses and the glued my Santa onto the front. Quick, super simple just the way things should be for this time of year. You could easily make a few ahead of time to give!
Thanks (as always) for coming by! Happy Stamping-- Karla c(:

Friday Once Again!
Well, I hope you had a safe Halloween last night and you gathered loads of candy! I stashed a few of my favorites from the candy bowl for later....but, that's not why your here! It's Friday again (the weeks are just flying by) and it's Debbie's turn over at the Sisters blog and we are making projects using some of the super cute Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Here is my project for this week--
I used the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack, the new grey card stock called Smokey Slate (which I can't stop using) and some Coastal Cabana Ribbon to match. This cute little box was designed by Dawn O. you can see the tutorial here.
This was the Group Make & Take we made at the Fall Meeting last month, lots of fun!
Have a great week and we will see you back here next Friday for some Christmas Ornaments. Until then, happy stamping!

Christmas Advent for Fabulous Friday
Well hey there! It's Rachel's turn over on the Sisters in Stamping blog and she has picked framed art as her project this week. I didn't use a "frame"....I did something a little different, here is my project for this week--
The little envelopes were made with the NEW Envelope Punch Board the small numbers (1-11) are 3 1/4" square the larger ones are 3 1/2" square. There is a scallop circle of Silver Glimmer paper under each number and a rhinestone in the center of each tree so it's very glittery!
The back side serves as storage for the little envelopes as the Advent Calendar gets used. Each envelope has a small tag in it that you can right on
Thank-you for coming by today and checking out my cute Advent Calendar. make sure you stop by next Friday for more Holiday Ideas!
Happy Stamping! Karla c(:
It's an Advent Calendar made with the new Envelope Punch Board. I'm not quite done with it yet, but I took some pictures of it so that I could show you how cute it's turning out. I used a cookie sheet (13x9, I purchased it at the W-Mart store) and punched 2 holes in the top to run the ribbon through for hanging. There are 2 strips of washi tape on the the top and bottom, I love the splash of color.

It's Friday Again!
I can't believe that it's time for another Fabulous Friday already! The weeks are just whizzing by at a break neck speed. It's Debbie's turn over at the Sisters in Stamping blog and we are making Fall themed projects. Here is mine for this week--
I used the NEW 1 1/4" Burlap ribbon (Item #132140, $7.95) from the 2013 Holiday Mini Catalog to make my roses. To make the rose I made a knot in the end of the ribbon and then twisted the ribbon around the knot. Once I had it to the size I wanted, I squeezed a puddle of hot glued onto the middle of the Silicon Craft Sheet (Item#127853, $5.95) and set the rose into it...making sure that the rough ends were in the hot glue.
Here is a close up picture of the ribbon roses.
Thank-you for coming by today, see you next week for some Washi Tape ideas.

I'm So Grateful
You know that the Sisters in Stamping take turns every week picking themes for the Fabulous Friday post, right? Well, this week is Rachel's turn and she picked the New Clear Photopolymer sets to focus on. Here is my card--
I used the Designer Type Alphabet set. I really love all of the arrows that are in the set, it's jammed packed with all sorts of images: banners, scrolls, letters, numbers and more! 57 pieces total in all, a fantastic deal for $13.95, Item #132956. I paper pieced the large arrow in all of the colors that are in the Gingham Garden Washi Tape, $4.95, Item #129314 (Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Pear Pizzaz). The oval in the center is from the new set called Chalk Talk, it's in the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog.
Oh, and I'm So Grateful for you! Thank-you for stopping by this week.

A Masculine Friday
Masculine cards....they are tricky! You don't want to be too frilly with ribbons and bows or flowers and such. Exactly why you should let the Sisters in Stamping help you out with some Guy cards today. Here is my card for today's Fabulous Friday post--
I used the stamp set called The Open Sea to make my manly Birthday card.
Here is a shot of the front of the card showing the new background stamp World Map. |
I used the frosting part of the cupcake punch and sponge to create my clouds. |
Here is a close up picture of the cloud design in the back ground, very whimsical addition to the card.
Thank-you again for stopping by, see you next week!

Hey there! Over at the Sisters in Stamping blog we are celebrating Back to School with projects and cards. Here is my project for this week--
I used the BigShot to cut my numbers for my paper ruler.
Here is a photo of it open--
It's a XL Hershey's Cookies and Cream Candy bar, you pull up on the ribbon to get it out of the sleeve. I used Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip card stock, it matches perfectly with the candy bar.
Well, that's it for me but the Sisters have other projects-- so make sure you go over and check it out.

Red White Blue & Fabulous
Welcome....this week at the Sisters in Stamping blog it's Debbie's week and she has picked a Red White & Blue theme. A good friend of mine has a birthday coming up and it's a biggie. I have seen this candy bouquet before and made it up Stampin' Up! style.
I purchased the suckers (50 of them) a couple of months ago, I have been saving them just for this project. The label is cut with framelits, and I used my alphabet set to cut the 5 0.
I arranged the S, U, C and K from my Photopolymer stamp set in a arch so that it would fit along the edge of my punched circle. Tied the whole thing together with Pacific Point stitched ribbon.
Stop over at the Sisters in Stamping to check out with the others have to show you for today!

A Fabulous Peek
The NEW Stampin' Up! 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog is being released today, and we have been waiting on pins and needles to put our orders in! But lucky for you Stampin Up! has given the Demonstrators some advanced time to pre-order some new stuff and the Sisters in Stamping have been playing with paper so they could show you. Here is my card for today--
I used a new stamp set called Mosaic Madness, it has a coordinating punch. The colors are So Saffron, Basic Gray and a NEW InColor called Strawberry Slush. The side stripes were done using a new accessory Epic Day This and That Washi Tape.
The Happy Birthday Wishes stamp is from a Hostess set called Simply Sketched and was stamped in Basic Gray ink. I used some rhinestones to glam it up some.
Thank-you for coming by. Go by the Sisters blog to check out what the others have made for you.

The Sisters Favorites for Friday
Hello- and Welcome! This week at the Sisters in Stamping blog we are making projects and cards using some of our favorite retiring stamp sets from the 2012-13 Idea Book and Catalog. The list was published a couple of weeks ago, but I'm still having a hard time looking at the list. It's always so sad to see all of the fantastic sets that are leaving! Here is my project for this week--
We did this cute sour cream container at the last Mother Daughter Stamping Night and it was a big hit! It is filled with M&M's and it makes a maraca like noise when it's shook.
There are 4 bird cages in the stamp set, starting with the largest cage stamp using Night of Navy ink. I stamped them randomly on a 1/2 sheet (5 1/2x 4 1/4) of Naturals Ivory card stock. Use Sticky Strip (on the shortest end) and roll it up to make a tube. Pinch one end closed and seal with sticky strip. Fill 3/4 of the way full (not too full) and pinch the other end of your tube in the opposite direction, seal with sticky strip.
Thanks for coming by today!
Happy Stamping-- Karla c(:

Mother's Day Inspiration at Sisters
Hey, thanks for coming by today to take a look at the Fabulous Friday post! It's my turn at the Sisters in Stamping blog and I have picked Mother's Day cards as our focus for this week. Here is my card--
Inside it says Happy Mother's Day! But, any Spring occasion would fit. I spied this card last week from Candace and I was inspired. I used my Print Poetry pack of Designer Series Paper (again!) for the back drop and my new Paper-Piercing Pack Occasions (#127387, $7.95). It's hard to see but there is a flower shaped button and a rhinestone in the middle of the punched butterfly.
Thank-you for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
